"Hmm. Come." He says, taking the chain and unlocking it as he leads her to the kitchen.
It's a little spartan, with a single stove made of that silvery metal, a fridge, a sink, and some shelves stocked with powders and other items. There's a round table right in the center of the room. It's made of wood that... Seems to be growing out of the ground!
"I'll show you how to make it once, and then you have to cook it for me. Got it? Now watch." He says, sitting her down in the middle of the kitchen. He walks to the fridge and opens it, before taking out a large slab of meat. "Big guys need big meat." He says, grinning as he tosses it onto the counter, before going back to the fridge. He takes out what looks like a blue sphere covered in tiny yellow spikes. He keeps it next to the meat, and then takes out a jar of reddish powder, and a large green bulbous looking pod. He picks up the blue thing. "We call this the Carrack fruit. Never make meat without this." He says, beckoning her closer. "Peeling is very simple. Take the top spike, and pull it down." He says, pulling it down to reveal a fleshy grey fruit. He peels it completely, and sets it down near the meat. "Never eat this fruit raw. You'll die." He says, before taking the green pod. "This is Guli. Somewhat similar to what you humans call... Garlic, I think." He says, before poking the tip of the pod with a sharp knife. It sort of peels open on its own, revealing the insides to be tiny seeds on a stalk, more like peas. Then, he slits open the top of three of the pods, and takes out a yellow seed from inside. "Very strong. Three is enough for this entire slab." He says, patting the meat, before starting to grind the seeds with the flat of the knife. He then spreads the juice all over the meat, where it sizzles slightly, seeping into the meat. He picks up the powder. "This is a bit like your... Uhh... What do you call those tiny black balls....? Oh, right. Pepper. Something like pepper." He says, sprinkling it on top. "Now this..." He says, picking up the grey fleshy fruit. "Cover your hands. If it touches bare skin, you'll be in trouble." He says, before crushing it in his hand and dribbling the juice all over the meat, then rubbing it in. She sees the meat visibly soften as he rubs the juice in. It was basically a natural tenderiser.
"Now you have two options. Bake, or fry. Bake, you get juicy meat. Fry, you get tasty, but not as juicy, meat. Which kind do you want?" He asks, raising an eyebrow as he looks at the stove.
