Hello! The name's pillow scream, unless you're the tax man obviously in which case whoever you're looking for it isnt me, lol. :p

Anyway! I've been a fanfiction writer since I was still an awkward thirteen year old girl and not an awkward college woman. I've probably written close to a hundred stories across different identities and fandoms, most tame but I've recently dabbled for about ten stories or so in pretty racy stuff and got quite a bit more interest in that than I'd expected. I've known about Fenoxo and his work for a couple of years now and he's definetly inspired to try and make my own name as a porno writer.

I've recently started toying around with a choose your own adventure sort of program called Twine that allows for making text based games and have several ideas for porn games based off of that engine. What I'm curious about is whether or not this is something a lot of other people are doing and if so are there any really neat uses of it that I could possibly learn from?

Also looking into developing some skill at drawing. Dont expect that to bear any fruit any time soon but the dream Im chasing after is to eventually produce some really killer porn games.

Thank you so much to all of those who took the time to read this and even more if you reply!

Twine is one of the go-to programs for porn games. It's supposed to be easy to use and is compatible with a number of OS.

I certainly like what I see so far of it! Programing in it is so easy even a history major like me can do it lol. :p

It's not a hard thing to do.
Mind you Twine is a low prestige engine. Slightly lower then RPGmaker.
You probably will need some feedback.

Yep. Heh! I just remembered a friend gifted me a copy of RPGmaker a while back. Not sure if I'd actually dive into that particular engine though..

I'm satisfied to just flex my writing muscles with Twine for the time being.

Twine and RPG Maker do have a bit of a reputation. While there are lots of bad half-finished projects associated with them some twine games are among the most popular and Japanese games often use RPG Maker to great effect.

It's just a matter of effort and quality of writing. Both f95zone and tfgames have a large repository of twine games you can look to for ideas.

The other free software you may want to look into is Ren'Py, which allows people with little programing experience to create visual novel games.

As for other games made with Twine, you can have a look at the games tagged with Twine on itch.io, or search the Interactive Fiction Database (scroll down on that page and look at the "system" entry for convenient links). Specifically for porn games, it's harder to say. TFGamesSite has a lot of Twine games, but it puts them all in the HTML category, and it lists only those games that somehow involve a transformation theme.

The Company, Perverted Education, and Academy of Fetishes are all popular examples you may want to check out for Twine games. You could also post it to one of the Choose Your Own Adventure websites like chyoa.com

Yeah, I would head Stemwinder's heads up and also lend my weight (whatever I have of that) in backing up your choice of twine. RPG Maker has a lot of not=so-optional features of RPGs that they tend to add more intrusive elements which can really skew a game's design. This is especially true in games that are relying on writing for the enjoyment. They have become know and "Walking Simulators" as so many have badly implemented it. I think Twine is more your speed and will make your ideas easier to spring to life, if you'll forgive my presumptions.

Sadly, I've not much experience myself with Twine as I'm a long time programmer so Unity is where I hang my hat, and because of that I have no real meat to add to your query. On a wider note however, I enjoy the reversals we seem to share, you being a writer aiming to make games, while I've been a long time game maker (programmer) turned writer, and we both deal with fan fiction stuff too. So to that I figure while I'm here to shout out some encouragement. Love the enthusiasm and the passion coming out to play in your introduction. Keep it up and aim high I say! Double props for having more writers and story tellers among our midst! If there's any other advice you even need, don't hesitate to call on me (or the community here, it's pretty good folk).

So... ramble-rant over now, have at it and best of luck!
