I was able to click the page back button during level up, allowing myself to dump all 3 points into a singular stat, bumping it up by 6. That was what happened from level 1 to 2. However, from 2 to 3, the stat (with a +2 from background) is capped at 16 despite dumping 6 points into it, meaning it ignores 2 points.
