I just beat the Stellar Tether, and got the platina, and returned to town, but the event between Jack/Jill and Shekka won't start no matter how many times I reboot the game. Did something happen to the event?

I assume they mean the event where you bid against J/J to get the probe from Shekka. It normally triggers the first time you pass outside her shop once you've completed Stellar Tether.
Did you by chance use the Marco Polo cheat (it’s the cheat that unlocks all planets)? Cause if you did then you won’t be able to do any of the probe interactions due to the fact that the game assumes that you’ve already done them if you have all the planets unlocked. If this is not the reason then I’ve got nothing.
It's literally required to get to Myrellion and subsequently Zheng Shi unless, as TFMaster pointed out, you've used the cheats.
Or maybe i should stop using an old save where i have done most of the content and start a new save.(As it might be a good way to jog my memory of the content i have forgotten about)
The event has always been in the game. It actuvates as you beat the Stellar Tether event and return to town with the Platina 190.
Aw... I had just discovered that code on the Cheats page the same day and used it. If I knew it would have messed up the Jack/Jill events...
