Is the closure of public submission final?

What about characters who remained underdeveloped like the Elf Boy or the Kitsune Scouts?
Sav mentioned previously in the thread that the release version of the game may prune clearly half baked/unfinished characters, with an option to enable them in the settings like Skyrim's "Cutting Room Floor" mod.

Elf boy may or may not fall into that category. Kinda subjective, but I turn him off every playthrough and I'm not sure that anyone would notice he's gone.

Kitsune Scouts I think are fine, tbh. Assuming you're talking about Hinata/Kiri/Yuzu, they seem to mainly be introduction/setup to the Kitsune Den.

FWIW the intention for our Next Big Game is that combat encounters don't have sex (at least as an expectation; there'd still be situations where it's appropriate, but those would be the exception) and that there's dramatically fewer sexable NPCs overall, but each NPC is much more developed; probably 1 per staff writer per Region, but using someone like Hana or Varena as the standard for how content-rich I'd like them each to be.

Hopefully that will result in a good balance between speed of development and still having a LOT of meat for everyone to chew on (and a lot less characters feeling like hollow filler in an area) in both the smut and gameplay departments.

So less of a smut game and more a game with smut? Sounds interesting.

Will it be earlier, later or concurrent in the timeline?

I really wouldn't say that, any more than CoC2 is anyway, just with different flavored smut. Going for depth rather than breadth.

Later.
Thank you for you answer.

One more question: Will we be able to import our old character for some (minor) Flags?
In the way to have some nice historical notes about the one who stopped the industrial revolution an evil demon and is the ancestor about half of the north?

Either way, while it will be a while, I do look a bit forward to it!

No. Importing a save from another IP entirely and quite probably a different code language would be a little wonky.

If anything about CoC2 needs to be established, we'll have NPCs ask you questions of what you know/have heard about such-and-such.

Decent solution, thank you again for the information.

what's actually incomplete about her?

I don't remember like anything about her.

Yeah we're in the last act now. And there's a MASSIVE backlog of submissions in the review queue; more than enough to last us the rest of development if they all get accepted (which, to be clear, they won't) -- and we also have several full-time writers working on their own stuff too.

I think what's likely to happen is that we'll make a [Cutting Room Floor] mode (turned "off" -- ie the content is hidden -- by default) that all the shit that doesn't meet standards gets shoved into. So it'll still be there if you really want it, but it'll clear up the experience by a lot for the vast majority of players.

We can (if necessary) then add [Remove Content] buttons on top of that for encounters so you can tailor the experience a bit more if you choose to play with that mode on.
Are there any plans for post-last act additions (community submissions or otherwise) to shore up existing characters or are yall considering a 1.0 release then wrapping the project up?

Pretty much this.

We'll do post-1.0 patches for bugfixes but that'll hopefully be where new content ends. The only exception would be clearing out anything that's still in the community submissions queue that somehow still hasn't gotten reviewed, but I really want to avoid that eventuality (hence closing the queue now, many months in advance).
