A lot of indie developers know that some gamers miss the old days. They hunger for retro games to rekindle their passions when games were new. But now that's is becoming a scam. Some devs will pump out a low budget slapped together game with lots of reused animations and tired trite dialogue and paint it as a Chrono Trigger homage or a love letter to old fashion gamers. Don't be fooled. I've bought many a game seeking that special something I can't often find in any games I loved in the past. Especially as an RPG focused player.
