Just something that came about after coming from a discussion involving Kara Quest 2 and the last stages of the Bess-13/Ben-14 interaction events. Fair warning this is just an idea that I hope gets traction for consideration, I dont expect credit since I am not writing this, this is purely out of fun, and for the enjoyment of everyone.

This is mainly inspired from one of the events of Corruption of Champions, where either by chance or of your actions will get you captured and into prison. That is where similarities will end.

Upon reaching Level 8 and during transition from flying between planets (specifically Myrellion and afterwards) you will be caught unawares by an EMP mine, and professional hijackers (hired by your rival or have interests in your rival winning) abduct the player to be put into the Pirates Prison Ships where its stolen stealth tech allows its presence to travel unseen and undetected.

You the player must both not just survive being in the Prison Ship but also must fight to preserve your sanity in a gladitorial arena where defeat means a gangbang of such propotions that after a number of loses you will become the ship's prized whore for the crooked warden.

Engineer the means to your escape, the easiest method is by sneaking around and escape with the chance of being caught again in the future. There are two ways for you to not only escape an ignoble end, but the means that will permanently put you off the list of as a future fellow prisoner. Throughout your time your only ally is an NPC who will help guide you and depending on the outcome will have differing roles in the NPC's future.

The first one is to become the Champion of the Arena; this route means not just surviving but by being the meanest and the most hardass person in the ship, showing your dominance, fucking the loser in the ring, the more demeaning, the more rep in the eyes of the guards and inmates. When the time is right as you challenge the warden, your charisma and rep is strong enough that you can now create a mutiny and take control of the ship. This path ends with you commanding the ship, now aware of the lifestyle and the necessity and use it to your advantage, as you contact your ship and rescue you. The less than reputable members of the Prison Ship now consider you, the player Steele as a future ally compared to your rival the NPC will now act as the new Warden in your stead as it ends with Steele spending the night in the captain's quarter with the NPC.

The second route is Avenging Steele; this route is the rocky road where your kindness will be viewed as weakness. Not following the rules will resort to some trying to sneak up on you and take their time with you. Victories in the arena will earn you rep, but by being gentle you will more often be sent to the punishment room for 'extra' activities. Despite this however, you will eventually engineer a faction within the prison seeing as how your defiant nature inspires hope in the inmates. Depending on your career path; TechSpec: A stealth drone made from the scraps you were able to salvage after hacking for the stealth field schematics, and cause chaos and confusion throught the ship's defense system and enslaving the ship to your commands. Merc: Convince the inmates for a temporary alliance, causing a riot as you muscle your way through and hold the warden/captain overall command. Smuggler: You and the NPC map a pathway and find hidden corridors throughout the ship, through stealth subterfuge and wit. You make your way to the warden's room and assasinate him, without anyone being a wiser you swing the ship towards the nearest UGC Peacekeeper Outpost. After a succesful takeover of the ship and packing away the worst elements in a seperate cell, you take a breather, with NPC in tow spend the night with said NPC. NPC will confide in you being uncertain of his/her/hir future and Steele decides to send the NPC through either Anno or Briget to help the NPC have the opportunity for a better future.

That is all for my idea, hope you enjoy all enjoy it!

EDIT: Whoops?! I forgot that there is a seperate thread for submission of ideas! Is double-posting frowned here? Or can I just simply copy/paste it over there?

But... Are YOU gonna write it?

also this:
one of the events of Corruption of Champions, where either by chance or of your actions will get you captured and into prison
is from a mod of CoC; it doesn't exist in the vanilla game.

I have already said no, again purely for fun. I dont expect this to be picked up just something that I thought I could add as contribution. Oh thanks for the trivia on the mod, I thought it was one of the last vanilla adds before mods took over.

Many apologies to whoever is the original writer and coder of the mod for wrong credit.

This honestly has me intrigued. Gives a look on some of the crazy things that happen out in space.

This gives me flashbacks to the Ant Arena and Vapula fights in CoC, rape or be raped.

*Tosses rival gladiator onto a wooden table* 'Bah Gawd that man had a family!' :p

So this was inspired by a mod that was eventually abandoned.

@Gedan: If the PC isn't pregnant, it's safe story-wise and logic-wise to confine them to a tile for several days, no?

And actually this is the correct place to put this thread, as the ideas forum is for ideas that you are going to write or pay for yourself.

Throw in Bargate Prison from Fable too.

Reminds me of the episode from Star Trek Voyager where Tuvok and 7 of 9 get captured and thrown into that gladiator arena, in that ship that flies through space and broadcasts it to all of the nearby systems for the people to watch.

I think I remember that one. And then the Cylons totally crushed the Daleks. It was awesome! :D

Looks good, but i think its best for it to be written up and added once ship content is in the game and prison too(Events at Tarkus hint at a potential prison)

I like how each class has different approach :).

Altought if you do escape is there a chance for you to be captured again?

Will you get a permanent accessory(Something like Prison/slave Collar) during your stay in the prison(and maybe after escaping because you were unable to remove it without the master key[Which the warden has])?

@RanmaChan
Never watched Voyager, The Next Generation watcher for me. Is it any good? I might come around and watch it.

Sorry, had to edit the grammar abit so that it would be clearer. Nice idea on the slave collar bit with the master key. Had something along those lines, but you pretty much summed it up.

Could we not though? I'd rather fight someone in the Arena than here the Warden's horrific poetry reading, oh god that's the prize if we win in the Arena isn't it!?

@Endwar Yeah I would say that it is worth a watch if you are a Star Trek fan, but I would put Deep Space 9 ahead of Voyager any day.

Deep Space 9 was great! Just ignore the baseball and crossdressing episodes, those two were abominations.

*imitating Captain Sisko and fiddles with the baseball on the desk* "When I was a boy, we used to play baseball all the time.. You know, Gul Dukat, this reminds me a lot of baseball, you see.."
Lol yeah, I don't know why they made a couple of those episodes. The writers must have been on something those days in particular. The rest of the series is great, and Sisko for me is up there in a tie with Picard for best captain.

That'd be an awesome Silly Mode variant! No sexy scenes here, just the best poetry Albion has to offer!

Pretty sure I've actively blocked those two from my memory. Watched the whole series, but I do not remember those.

Never watched Voyager or any subsequent series.

Me too. Sisko was great! However, Avery Brooks might literally be crazy. Check out The Captains Close Up documentary.

Awesome! Definitely gonna look for the DS9 series now. If you guys say that Sisko is as great as a character as Picard, then I am all for it.

Just know it starts slow, just like Next Generation didn't get good till Riker grew a beard, DS9 doesn't get really good until Sisko grows a beard.

Let the Vogon Captain's poetry recital . . . BEGIN!

BLASPHEMY there is only Picard!

P.S: If there is any reason to watch DS9 it's Odo.

I can't seem to find it on Youtube. Do you know where I would be able to find The Captains Close Up? I really want to watch this now.

Lol, that is a hilarious comparison. I don't know if I fully agree, but yeah it does start off a little bit slow.

Have you watched DS9? Picard is an amazing Captain, freaking amazing, but Sisko. Man there is jut something about him. Picard can give a speech that will leave his allies clapping, his enemies surrendering, and have the audience cheering. But Sisko, the man gets shit done. Odo was an awesome character though. I would put him up there with Data, with The Emergency Medical Hologram from Voyager just below them.

Yes! Please do look into watching it! I am sure you will not regret it.

I have in fact watch most of the series from the beginning until about they time that they started spending ALL of their damned time on the stupid ship-that-shall-not-be-named. Yes, Sisko is awesome. But as good as Picard :p NOT!!!!111!!1!!11ONE!!!!!!1 Yes, we ALL know the beard is the key to good Star Trek. Think about the original before and after, "Mirror, mirror", where we are introduced to mirror Spock who has WHAT . . . thas riiight, A BEARD. Spock gets beard TV show becomes national phenomenon. Picard gets borged, the universe is broken with awesomeness! Kirk kills himself to save the . . . whatever it was, yet AGAIN, MEH!

The Defiant is an amazing ship, and you will show it the respect it deserves!
I will not. I broke the paradigm of a show that I dearly loved and devolved the entire plot into the ship rather than the station, if it EVER came back out of that space I wouldn't know. If it did, it was too little too late. If they wanted to make a ship galavanting show out of it they should have spun it off NOT replaced the better show.

The Defiant didn't overwhelm the station all that much, it just allowed a bigger variety of places to be visited. If I remember correctly ratings went up thanks to it, since it made the show feel more like Star Trek. Anyway in the later seasons the Station very much remained the heart of the plot, its just hard to show the major politics ensuing around the galaxy at the time on just one set.
