I always try to play as a neuter, actually. I'm not that interested in sex scenes. I have little to no sex drive so maybe that's why. The character I play is usually a galotian so I can swap out parts if I need to for some reason.

Out of curiosity, why are you playing this game if you're not particularly interested in the sex scenes? I mean, that's like 99% of the game

I mean the setting and a good deal of the NPCs are pretty neat, but the MQ is pretty basic because we've yet to get to the twist that is blatantly coming and the rival has yet to become anything resembling an actual character unless Zeng-Shi does something that the last 3 god damn fucking planets didn't do.

There is an encounter (well actually a fight) with Jack/Jill and his/her new Sulla Bodyguard on Zheng-Shi just outside the Pirate Corvette that is purported to be able to be taken by the PC but since it’s only in the backer build all us non-backers can’t play through it yet to see what it entails.

I'm aware of the encounter existing, I've just not been able to play it yet and determine if it's done anything remotely approaching fleshing out the Rival.

Honestly I don't think Fenoxo has any particular plans for the rival to be anything more than a cartoon character. If there was supposed to be something to them other than to make Steele look less bratty by comparison then there'd have been hints of it by now.

Your dad tells you not to be a dick to your cousin in his will, pretty sure that was supposed to be indication enough.

A single throwaway line that hasn't been followed up on vs. years of work producing like three encounters with hardly any dialogue exchanged doesn't inspire any confidence.

The weird thing is how no one else is allowed to do anything with them. If there aren't any plans to make them a real character then the obvious answer would be because they're going to get killed off in the story. If people were to actually get attached to them then they'd not like that (or someone could end up missing their content entirely if a new player rushed through the story).

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but what's the obvious twist? I can think of a couple obvious plot developments in the future of the main quest, but I can't really think of any that qualify as twists.

Most obvious twist in my opinion would be the cousin giving up because they grew a conscience or something to similar effect, I guess?

When you've got a mook villain the tweeest is almost always that they're shoved aside for a more serious one.

ol I don't have a porn game but you can bet your fucking ass if I did I wouldn't let random mooks handle the main storyline, ever.
Randomos getting shot down isn't surprising but the regular crew hearing no to doing anything at all with them's odd considering how crowdsourced the game is. If he wanted to do something with the rival it'd be one thing but he's being possessive with a piece he's only been using for bare minimum plot steps.

The cousin should be treated like Gary from pokemon: they show up only around each major objective just to get in your way and insult you.

Isn't that what they've been doing with Jack/Jill for a while now? ....except Blue actually relied on skill, not money, and had charisma of his own, separate from his connection to Red. But I digress~

Yeah. I was referring to the context of the complaint. They're treating Jack/Jill as more than that, and that's really not what the character has been designed for. At least, not currently.
