Hey everyone, so I’ve been obsessed with making a fun a thematic pyromancer build and wanted some help and advice.

The gear I am using is the pyromancer set. And the abilities I’m currently I am using twisted flame, grease, fire ball and summon flame dancer

anyway any advice would be appreciated!!

Definitely a lot of options for pyromancy whether you want to go full glass cannon, a fire focused spellblade, or a summoner type, granted some of the fire based powers aren't currently accessible till level 9... But definitely a lot of steal-able powers. More options obviously if you go Kitsune, and then there are some white magic spells you can go for too such a White Fire which is a great low cooldown power or Jade Flame. Also have the regular Flame Spirit, Flame Knight and Summon Bull as Fire Summons - if going the summon route, you could also potentially include Empower Summons.

If you don't want to use a summon you can also swap to Flames Within to empower yourself or Dragon Breath (when that becomes available for use). If you plan for your at will to be a hybrid spell like twisted pyre you could also go primal scar as a nuke. Fox Fire and Fire Bolt are good at will spells too. Or Blue Flame Blade again if Kitsune and want to go a spellblade - if with blue flame blade you can also get Cleave and Searing Arc as I'm pretty sure Cleave actually applies BFB's damage.

Thanks so much, I haven’t played in a while so I’m not entirely sure where to find a lot of the newer spells. I am trying to go for more of a glass cannon caster build. I Flames Within sounds perfect! I think I read on the wiki a spell called ghost fire? It’s a hybrid spell. I may be wrong but it essentially sounds like a better version of fireball as far as I can tell. Unfortunately I have no idea where to find it

It's from one of the hidden spellbooks you can find exploring, that one I believe is up on the Peaks near the Manticore families home tile, unfortunately it can't be used yet though until devs add level 9 (think we are at level 8 currently). So you can acquire it, but can't use it. The wiki I think is mostly up to date, it's missing a few things, but your purposes it should tell you where to get everything. Twisted Pyre is good enough as a spammable ability. Fireball/Ghostflame would be your AoE spell.

And then you have the choice of going Grease for some crowd control/debuff or a heavy nuke, which I would suggest as either Primal Scar (multi elemental + shred debuff)/ Jade Flame (Holy/Fire + Fire Resist Self Buff) / Flash Fire (Single Target Nuke - AoE Burn and Blind), Flames Within would be your encounter, and then Ultimate Abjure since there really isn't much other options unless you soulbind then you could take one of those.

I honestly thought about the pyromancer as well or a thermomancer with a fire power set and a frost power set to switch between, since frost also has a wonderful amount of spells now for both a glass cannon and summoner type.

Thanks for the info!

personally I get really anal about these game ( pun intended) I really like to have my champion feel somewhat unique in both appearance and powers. As far as I’m aware we already have a few companions who fill the “magical frost” slot. But we don’t really have a pyromancer except for Cait and Brienne. Personally I normally choose to keep Brint, so it feels like the part is less crowded with pyromancers. On top of that the terrestrial fire dungeon feels somewhat like the companion set quests. You’ve inherited or learned something powerful and special, you are the Inheritor of the black flame. You’ve learned the ancient rights of a now practically forgotten cult.
