Good writing, good narration or both?

I'm trying to gather some inspiration and look for writing styles which can make even boring science stuff sound interesting as hell. This is a video i came across a couple days back:

I can't precisely tell if it's interesting because of the narration or it's just the story itself. I would say it must be both to some degree. Nevertheless, it's definitely a new fetish for me because it makes mine rock hard.

If you guys have some examples for writings like this it would be much appreciated.
