Come one, come all! Share your favorite weird asian cartoons and comics here, dear weebs.

My main series right now is Prison School. I can't get enough of that crack.

Me and the Devil Blues, an entirely different breed of manga written by the same author is next on my list, as soon as I'd be in the right mood.

........Manganime? Never heard of that word.

My favourite continuing series right now is 'The Gamer'. Problem is that it's a Manhwa (Korean comic) so not sure if it should be included here.

Really into anything of Typemoon as well, aka the Nasuverse. This includes the Fate series, the Tsukihime series, Kara no Kyoukai, etc.

Ohh 'The Gamer'. It's good one manga. Well other that this I got quite many diff manganimas I read-a-watch. From daily living with monstergirls (that title is not cool as orginal one) throu various Re:titles like Re:Tokyo Ghoul (but I touched it after reading whole Tokyo Ghoul) or Re:Monster to Tales of Demons and Gods, Yamada-kun and 7 Witches, Freezing, Sekirei. Also a lil bit more official Big trinity like FT/Bleach/OP. Some that ended like Gantz, Magico, Re:Marina, Half & Half, Deadman Wonderland.

So much to watch too like Yamada-kun and 7 witches (both anime and live actors versions), Rosario+Vampire (still manga was better one).

So pretty much anything readable and interesting I lay my hands/eyes on to fill waiting for all the daily/weekly/monthy/bimonthy released chaps.

Monster Musune no Iru Nichijou - that title I know this manga orginaly. Later after checking pic and other stuff for thing called Daily Life with Monster Girls I realize it's the same but with title translated. Well I just like all titles in their orginal version written than translations and both aren't different it's about orginal and translated name of manga.

Speaking of there should be or soon will be anime made of it (Mhmmm Rachnera ^^)

There is one already.

There are also doujins of Monster Girl quest if anyone looks for them.

Speaking of the doujins, has anyone else had trouble with Pururin lately?  Every time I try to go there the connection times outs and I get an error 522.

Pururin has been dead for the last week and a half it seems, which is sad because it was my main source of fun manga. ;_;

Yeah, that's about how long I've been having the issue too.  I just figured it was bad timing since I usually went there around what seemed to be their peak hours, and I could generally fix the error just by waiting a few minutes to refresh.

Not sure if Monster Musune no Iru Nichijou is even its original name. I know at one point, it used to be a hentai/doujin (and I think it had a different name.) but I'm not sure....

All I know is, the video game for it looks so good!  :parrot:  Can't wait for it to come out and start my waifu collection (Literally).

I keep hearing about 'the original version' of Monster Musume. What is that all about?

Originally there were a bunch of single-page comics that each had one monster girl and a guy who had his hair over one eye.  Each comic was a different but identical guy, it was implied they were all brothers.  They were pornographic, but only lightly so.  Most of the main girls in the manga/anime derive their appearances from the early comics.

Cool, thanks. Do you, by any chance, have links to those comics handy?

Danbooru and Gelbooru should have them.

Now as for my personal tastes, I'm a giant robots guy, so Aquarion Logos is my main show this season.  I'm also a fan of tokusatsu, as my current avatar should indicate, so Kamen Rider Ghost is also getting watched weekly.

Thanks fot the pointers. And from what I've seen and read, AL doesn't hold up even to the standards of the first two installments, which weren't great to begin with. Why not go with Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans?

Well... doing some digging in their still active forums I believe I have found a rough supplement for the meantime.

Tsumino.com

While not as well made it'll do the job I think.

Logos had a slow first few episodes but by now it's fucking amazing.  Miles above the first two Aquarions.

I'm waiting a bit longer on IBO to see how it pans out, but I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

Good work newb.  I like the multi-tag selections system.

Started watching RWBY. The dubbing is much better than most of what I see, which isn't difficult to believe as most anime being dubbed these days is terrible. Reason why I usually watched subbed anime.

We really need more good anime created in English speaking countries, like RWBY, so we can get better dubbing in general.

Uh, is it really "dubbing" if that's the original audio?

No?  I guess.  Technically, dubbing is a post-production technique so there are lots of ways you can dub something with it's original audio.  Considering the fact that a huge part of voice acting is re-recording audio after the animation is complete so that the actors can match their characters mouth movements pretty much all animation is dubbed.  That's just not how the term is used when talking about anime.

A fresh dose of weird post-apocalyptic manga I've found recently:

1)Gigantomakhia, a.k.a. Miura-sensei can into PA and Giant Robots. Great art (duh), damn techno-magical loli, 'blast from the past' male protagonist and my new Wetraxxel-bro personal canon image. Pathos.

2) Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind manga, which turns out to be vastly different from its anime adaptation. Less environmentalism, more world-building, violence and Giant Organic Robots(?).

As a side-note, I found about another weird echi comedy title from the studio responsible for Prison School anime adaptation. It plays  it's 'echi' parts a lot more straight, but still has a great comedy. People having a beef with censorship will probably get an extra kick out of it.

Nausicaä's manga was reissued in hardcover where I live a couple of years ago. Its price? 100€, more than twice the prize of its previous release. Ludicrous.

Shimoneta has an anime adaptation that came out last season. It's goddamn hilarious and the ecchi is tasteful and delicious.

I have an excuse of having most titles being unavailable and/or crappy translations, so I'm a torrent parasite for the most part. But when I don't, I feel you. It's like publishers think that we should buy at most a couple of tomes a month, despite pushing a fuckton of titeles. That, or never spend money on anything else.

The link is to anime's page. Both versions of the manga didn't have the same drive as the series does, and I couldn't find the light novel.

Anyway, I wouldn't go as far as calling the ecchi parts tasteful, but they worked for me, and more importantly, humor did as well. Having the inevitable censorship in a TV version being a built in part of the artistic visions was nice too.
