Fun solo builds for 'Dark' difficulty

I was able to scrap together a warrior build for soloing 'dark' difficulty but I'm having trouble making it work with other classes. I'd love to do a solo run with a magic based class. What magic builds do people usually use for soloing?

soloing dark mode as a caster is very hard to do, you usually run into issues like not enough hp, not enough healing or not enough damage output to keep up due to having to split your focus on powers, and lack of good spell caster armors that have good physical defenses

Ah ok, I wonder if it'd be worth it to ignore toughness and then use the 'spiced wine' boon from garth for every encounter. I suppose dps is still an issue though; it seems like a lot of the damage spells are a bit underwhelming compared to melee.
