Less than a week to go! I can feel myself getting more excited every day, despite the fact I won't be able to play it because I am cursed with a MacBook right now <.< I will definitely have to give it a shot when I get home to my desktop PC for Christmas!
Perhaps I'll watch someone else play it in the meantime.. I feel like that could be pretty quaint. If only I knew any tolerable let's play people..

Idk if they'll be streaming or recording but some good ones are: ZetaPlays, TearoGrace (He does shorts though mostly), Lazy Game Reviews (most likely to do a LP), and ObliviousFilms (They haven't posted stuff in months though.).

Just be happy you don't have to wait till December to get the game. I am likely going to watch people on Twitch play some of the game to bide me over. I like the new S.P.E.C.I.A.L system they are using with the game and can't wait to try out the new crafting system and see what new things you can make be it weapons or bases.

I don't know how you define "tolerable" when it comes to let's plays, but AlChestBreach and Gopher are the only people I watch on YouTube. Al's kind of a goofy slut, Gopher might be more your bag.

I've had my character build ready for months, although I had to make some alterations when all of the perks were finally revealed. Used a handy website called vault111.com although I assume most here have heard of it already. I guess I'll put up my build.

Originally had it set to where Luck was 9, but things changed. With a luck of 4 I can at least get Mysterious Stranger, the perk at Luck of 5 "Idiot Savant" isn't as useful for me with my Intelligence so high.
I put a 9 in Intelligence because I really dig all of the perks in that column, excluding "Nerd Rage!", with the added bonus that I'll get a shit-ton of XP making leveling a lot easier from the get-go, and being able to grab the "Gun-Nut" and "Science" perks allowing me to build gun and energy weapon mods.
Charisma was set to 6 so I could get my hands on "Local Leader", giving me more options to make my settlements awesome.
Perception of 4 to get the "Lockpick" perk.
At that point I didn't have enough points left over that I felt comfortable enough to sink all into one column, so I raised Agility to 2 to at least get "Commando", and put another in Strength --raising it to 2-- so I could begin to build towards "Armorer" and "Weaponsmith".
Leaving poor Endurance at 1, which sucks, because at 5 I could get "Aquaboy" which would let me breathe underwater..... Well, I can get there eventually, at least.
Anyone else wanna share?

3 strength, 5 perception, 3 endurance, 9 charisma, 4 intelligence, 3 agility, 1 luck.
Charisma has a use beyond speech checks! I'm shocked. I wanted to have a character who can make the most out of companions while being specialized to deal with crafting, hacking, lockpicking, mine disabling, and of course persuasion (I HATE being stonewalled because of non-combat things). Having added perks for settlements -can't deny my people beer- and of course, beast mastery. Make friends with Deathclaws. If I can build up intelligence after getting weaponsmith and intimidation, I'll work that up, make a completely work-specialist companion character.

stay away from the steam forums for fo4. I was one of the unfortunate to see the ending. a bunch of asshats are posting threads containing the ending as the topic to ruin it for people.
