Hello everyone!
I’ve spent the past month developing an expansion for the Painted Demon encounter. My goal is to transform this from a generic encounter into a multi-stage narrative arc, evolving her from a nameless NPC into a full-fledged character (similar to the progression of Ivaze).

The encounter serves as an example for a broader roadmap, focusing on deep companion reactions, a dedicated 'Breeder' path, and a scalable Late-Game Loop for players who want their choices to have a permanent mark on the game world.

Please enjoy, and don’t forget to share your thoughts!

P.S. This is my first ever submission and I have tried my hardest to abide to the parser documentation, still I not sure for many places. Any feedback on that end would be much appreciated.

[Submitted] The Painted Demon Expansion
  • The Core Scene: A single-entry point that branches into four distinct narrative resolutions based on player alignment (Corrupt/Neutral/Pure).
    • Branch 1 [Rail]: The "Breeder" path.
    • Branch 2 [Rail w/ Kill Intent]: Leads to the "Cleanse" Birth variation.
    • Branch 3 [Watch]: The "Voyeur" path. (WIP, inspired by Azyrran-Alraune watch scene)
    • Branch 4 [Leave]: Tactical exit.
  • Second Core Scene: The birth scene, followed by a branch option.
Scalability: This framework is designed to be easily replicated for similar side-content characters (e.g., Goblin Succubus), providing an opportunity for more narrative depth across the game's minor encounters.

[WIP] Systems & Mechanics
  • The Imp Counter & The Mirror: A proposed UI/Variable tracker for the player’s total spawned imps. introduced by Kasyrra for certain players after “A Feast of Heroes” dungeon in the form of a Mirror, within Kasyrra’s Dream Palace. This improves the "breeding" from a flavor-text event by adding a resource-gathering mechanic.
  • Dynamic Companion Corruption: Introducing a 3-stage visual/narrative corruption tracker for companions. This system would incorporate already existing events such as Vivian – Be Witched – Demon variation, The Frost Hound – Hide and Watch scene, Brienne Halloween event turned real etc. into a cohesive transformation arc with transformation scenes and unique dialogue and reactions depending on the Corruption/Pure spectrum.
  • Alignment UI: A minor menu addition to track the companion-specific Pure/Corruption counters, providing players immediate feedback on their party’s current state.
  • Uncapped Progression Logic [System Option]: A proposed menu-level toggle to transition from static 0–100 scales to open-ended counters for the main chacarter. This maintains core game mechanics, while providing a sense of progression for “Deep Corruption” or “Exalted Purity” roleplay. This system provides options for adding new achievements and room for future implementations.
[WIP] Late-Game Vision: The Invasion
  • Settlement Subversion: A proposal to allow players to “use” their accumulated Imp Counter to attack and occupy established locations.
  • Evolutionary States: Each settlement (from camps to major cities) features 3 stages of Corruption.
    • Stage 1: Aesthetic changes and minor dialogue shifts.
    • Stage 2: NPC subversions and unique erotic encounters.
    • Stage 3: Total Imp Occupation (unlocked via a high Imp-Count threshold).
  • Strategic Loop: This provides a concrete late-game goal for "Demon-King/Queen" playstyles, ensuring every encounter feels like a step toward world domination.
  • Scalability: This framework is designed to be easily replicated for other race focused players.

I looked at it. There's some good gems in there, not sure whether it can work in the way you are intending or something. I definitely think a scene can be done with it, just need to set her up for pregnancy in her other scenes.

Made some parser suggestions to look into. One, maybe two comments. I hope they help, or at least clear things up for the next person. Otherwise, feel free to glean what help or benefit they may provide.

Gave it a little read, but comparing it to Ivaze made me think the imps would be female. Alas. Otherwise interesting start to an expansion of a one off character. Considering Ivaze only has female imp spawn in their scenes I think it would be really interesting if you could tell the painted demon to only spawn specific types of imps. They probably can control the gender of the spawn they birth if they want, they probably just generally don't, that's what I get from Ivaze anyways. Figured I'd throw that idea out in case it interests you.

You say this is an expansion of the Painted Demon encounter, but it's extremely ambitious in the way how it would rewrite core mechanics, break the corruption/purity limits

I don't want the Imp Counter or Brienne Halloween event to be made real. I'm averse to timed events that were meant as event themes or not-canon nightmares to be turned into a minigame or something the game keeps track of. It's a Halloween dream that's meant to unnerve the player and make them slightly uncomfortable while being erotic despite being a smut game, kind of like the other Eryka scene. It provides flavor at the expense of the game having something else to track, provides something that you have to pay attention to now if you're aiming for completionism, and provides a "true evil" ending just to offset the good one, which I personally don't like and I'm opposed to.

"Settlement Subversion: A proposal to allow players to “use” their accumulated Imp Counter to attack and occupy established locations.
Evolutionary States: Each settlement (from camps to major cities) features 3 stages of Corruption.
Stage 1: Aesthetic changes and minor dialogue shifts.
Stage 2: NPC subversions and unique erotic encounters.
Stage 3: Total Imp Occupation (unlocked via a high Imp-Count threshold)."

I don't really want the evil outcome to be that fleshed out narratively. It goes against the narrative and established story written so far of the player and majority of the characters having to kill Imps or at least shoo them away as a horny nuisance.

I don't want to tear you down but my two cents are as follows:

• I don't feel like people want to micromanage another Imp meter with a new pregnancy mechanic, especially for an evil character. The way it is now, people can just skip through the cutscenes because they have no lasting indicator in-game. The transformation ones have an opt-out, like the Tanuki Witch transformations or the Remove Content for some of the other options.

• There are characters which have a Corrupt form and you can do stuff like sending Jae'lyn to the Wayfort instead of to the Frost Hound or you can turn Viv into a Succubi, but she's still Viv and Jae'lyn doesn't attack random civilians. Flooding Savarra with Imps goes directly against the core themes of the game beyond Corruption and Purity and is a major backstab to the Winter City and other arcs.

• If the raiding mechanic is purely flavor-based and doesn't affect NPCs, and it's just a textbox, it's just a more evil version of the preexisting "Imps spawn" dialogue, except you can't undo it. It's still immersion-breaking. T

• The bad options you have in the game are still heroic, albeit less so. The Champion still saves The Winter City, sides with Arona (despite Arona being Arona), defends Khor'minos despite being a grave robber, frees the Centaurs. This adds a whole new evil plotline that contradicts everything before it in the game.

As stated previously, this:

• Brienne Halloween event turned real etc. into a cohesive transformation arc with transformation scenes and unique dialogue and reactions depending on the Corruption/Pure spectrum.

I don't like this. The entire point of the dream sequences is to provide stuff that wouldn't happen in the base game.

• This provides a concrete late-game goal for "Demon-King/Queen" playstyles, ensuring every encounter feels like a step toward world domination.

I don't agree with this goal and I don't think adventure games need "every single option". I don't think the existence of the preexisting options necessitates the creation of a Demon-King/Queen option, especially since I like the game as it is so far.

• Second Core Scene: The birth scene, followed by a branch option.

This is game-ending in the Unitaur fight and it's clear the Painted Demon is meant to be a sex option rather than for spawning Imps. Again, I like it that she doesn't spawn them, it doesn't even seem like she's the same variant as Kassyria. Maybe you could have her birth kids of the PC character considering Ailech, have her flustered and say "I was expecting Imps, not this!"

Something about the player character having sex options with the newborn Imps also gives me pause, even if you wrote them to be sexually mature and fully grown from the womb.

Everything up before you mention the Imps is fine, but the Imp content just feels too evil for the PC to do in the context of the story, and I don't think it should be an available route. The sex stuff is fine, but the decision to include that in the game just feels gross to me.

I'd much rather a painted dragon be born from the PC having sex with her, and her dropping it off at the Wayfort. That seems more appropriate to the story.
