Event Writing Question

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong board (‘:

How do I go about choosing what to write for an event? To be specific, I’m looking to write a couple(I hope) scenes for pre-existing enemies in the game but I’m unsure which characters I would be allowed to write for. Do I have to ask for the original writer/creator’s explicit permission?

It's typically preferred that you talk to their creators, though you typically don't have to. Look at it as good form and common courtesy. Most, if not all, writers will say yes to people writing for their characters so long as the proposed concept(s) don't feel too out of character
