Cool it. You don't like it, take yourself elsewhere and your vague half-insults.Story planet? Ah-hahaha! That's just a myth, my friend! The story is just a distraction and all that matters is a bazillion different yet ultimately rather samey TFs and an equal number of one-off shallow characters/events.
Way to kick a hornet's nest with this satirical crap that just you just spewed onto the forum... I understand the slowness that any major storyline stuff gets worked on an implimented, and I'd love to see its continuation just as much as anyone else, but if you're gonna insult all of the work that I'm sure everyone worked their asses off for, especially the volunteer writers then not cool man. If you can't do any better, then I suggest you keep your insults to yourself.Story planet? Ah-hahaha! That's just a myth, my friend! Not trying to be impatient, I'm just curious!
Since you're on the topic of big ticket items that the community is vaguely aware are happening, how is the ship stuff and ever rumored player psykers stuff doing? We've drafted out the next planet, and it'll start rolling out sometime early next year -- probably when Fen's finished with corgiland and I'm done with SyriQuest, both fairly large undertakings.
The elevator pitch for the next "planet" is basically a megadungeon: it's a pirate base built into an asteroid, basically Space Tortuga. There'll be a bunch of bosses and mobs to clear out between you and the probe, which is being held by the port's leader. Once you're done, you can hang out with all kinds of lowlife scum NPCs. Might be a place NPCs like Kara and Khorgan could show up again. There's about a 90% chance you'll get a sweet tricorn somewhere.
Does that also mean we'll also be getting Pieces o' 8 (bits)?

I'm guessing that the system has been decided to go back to a non-starter class thing again? The information I've gathered had led me to believe that it was gonna be a separate class rather than a late game thing.
No idea about ship stuff; my understanding is that Gedan's working as hard as she can but her house is slowly disintegrating around her.
Psyker stuff is still not happening until later-game so nobody's touched it and they probably won't for like literal years.

No AmaraQuest
I dunno! I'd definitely prefer it to be a class, but it's not my call.
Honestly, I'm quite happy with it being a common thing for all classes, not matter if it's end-game content. My opinion may not be popular, tho.
I'm in agreement here. I'd rather like it if psionic powers were something that the player could base their character around or gain through the course of the PCs adventures.I've outlined it a bit before, but I'd like both personally:
A Psi-Adept class that you can take from level 1, letting you use psychic stuff all the way through the game, and attachments that unlock a much more limited selection of powers for all classes. Adepts might be the PCs who start out with an implant that lets them use their powers; everyone else has to get weird parasites or expose themselves to the Warp or something.
Another class requiring an accessory is something I feel like is fantastic fucking reason to make a class item slot and rework the other classes into using a class item.
Smugglers would get a cc optionWhat would mercs and smugglers use?
I'm not sure about mercs, they've kinda been too straightforward and simple for the most part. Probably something to do with armor enhancement or physical shields as I don't think restricting heavy weapons and power armor to them is a good idea as power armor for techs is also a fun concept.. Smugglers I'd think would build around their flashbang grenade that they start with and just be able to muck with inflicting status effects that they get bonus damage and crit for exploiting. What would mercs and smugglers use?
Smugglers would get a cc option
Mercs would get a sustain option

Pretty sure the only reason nobody uses actual armor outside of the goo armor if that counts is due to the good stuff getting its resists nerfed into the ground. Thanks that's not relevant to my question at all.
Clearly just restrict ACTUAL normal armor to them; nobody else uses it anyway, so it can just be cosmetic for everyone else.
