Del's Gender??

Okay, so I really am not trying to start a fight, I just want to know, what is Del's gender?  Del asserts that Del is a guy, but she/her pronouns are still used, and Del is still referred to as a girl, I think.  I really just want to know, so please don't start arguing "Well, if she's called a girl, obviously what she says isn't correct" or "If he says he's a guy, he's a guy".  Also, I'm really sorry if this has already been answered before!  I'm not so good at sifting through stuff to find what I want to find on forums, and I searched "del", and nothing came up, but I might have been searching wrong.

Del is a self-identified male, and should therefore be referred to as male. Simple as that.

Trap, so male. The world would be a pretty interesting place if you could change people's gender by declaring what they are.

I thought Del was a guy, I just wanted to find out for sure.  Thank you.  It's kind of weird that Del is referred to by female pronouns. but I don't really understand what "trap" means in this context, so maybe that's why.  Sorry I'm so clueless.

Bethany Carver isn't supposed to be a likable character...

A trap is a guy who can pass as a girl but still considers himself to be a guy (at least in media). Now that I think about it it's kinda the opposite from a tomboy.

Though, the term may also refer to a passable pre-op trans-girl, in which case it would be derogatory.

I think the forum gobbled up my recent post, but why doesn't only Bethany then refer to Del as female? The decriptions from the PCs perspective also use female pronouns, I.E. misgendering Del.

I think Savin is the one that wrote him, so I think you should ask him.

Del is the only one saying hes a guy. Beth is trying to teach him to be a woman, and your helping her. Using female pronouns on Del is meant to be degrading.

So Steele is automatically in favour of misgendering someone, making Steele a massive cunt no matter their personality or player choice.

A tomboy does not necessarily want to pass as a guy. Take it from someone who has been called that because dresses and stereotypical girliness were never my thing, owning a Barbie collection aside.

Do you not have a choice at all? I remember only calling Del a she once you start training her.

And if you're training her, then misgendering is really the least of your sins.

You only have one avenue of interaction with Del, which is the slut training route.  If you take that route then yes, obviously you are in fact in favor of making a girl out of Del.

I went and checked when the thread came up on a new character. Even before so much as bringing up the training, he's referred by "she/her". When you first meet Del, even if you skip straight to asking about a drink, it's still "she/her"

Neither does a trap technically, but I suppose you're right. *shrugs*

I'm just trying to keep track of definitions to various terms that buzz around the net.

Perhaps the option will one day come were you can save Del. So you can pay off his debt and get him off the esterbloom. Until then his character is a forced fem-boy but-slut. No one told you to help with his training, hell shekka told you the place was a slaver den. So until we can bust the place up and free Del, maybe you should just not go there. Not all fetishes are for you and some are offensive, but they are avoidable. I avoid the slime-girls like a plague.

Irrelevant to the conservation. What's in question is the lack of respect for someone's gender on the behalf of the author.

I beg to differ, Del's character is at the very heart of the conversation. I take you never played Trap Quest, or are into forced TG. The whole point of this particular fetish is to be degrading towards someones gender. Del does not want to be a woman, but what he wants is pointless. Del is being forced to learn that he is a woman. Del is not Embry, the difference being Embry has a choice.

Sounds like transphobia to me.

That is vile and disgusting.

So is beating someone down and fucking them. So is supplying someone with dangerous and illegal mods. So genetically manipulating aliens and releasing them without care for the effect on the ecosystem. And those are just on the first planet.

What I'm saying is, either everything is a fantasy or nothing is.

.....and so is New Tex's "treatment" of women. So is the fact that win or lose a battle it involves rape. lets not forget, having some disgusting gelatinous creature stick its pseudopod into your rectum. Sex in itself is not "PC" in America. I personally would never treat a person like that in real life, unless their into it. We all have turn on and turn offs, lets not judge people for it. I for one am a total "Doll Maker" (just like Alice) so yes Del is totally for me. There nothing sexier then dressing up a cute effeminate guy, doing his make up, and prancing him about on a leash.

That is vile and disgusting.

It's a porn game whose central mechanic is rape or run. It seems strange that this would be the moment where you blink and say "Woah hang on a second, you can do some really unpleasant and amoral things in Fen's games!" As long as you understand it's just a fantasy, there isn't anything worse about it than running over a bunch of pedestrians in GTA.

I will say that Del really needs a "help him" option to provide proper balance to his character. Here's the thing, though - you know why there were so few non-corrupt options in CoC? Because being nice and noble isn't as sexually arousing as being downright filthy towards someone. I always fuck the absolute hell out of Del, because I can get my rocks off doing that to a fictional character. I would never countenance doing it to a real person. If you have invested so much of yourself in this porn game it turns your stomach to even think of it, that is fine - do not do it.

Some people have no idea what a sissification fetish is.

I just don't care whether something's a fetish if it involves denying people's very identity. All this has shown is that a part of the community are transphobic.

Your fetish means nothing to me, as your view on those with non-cisgender identities is wholly toxic.

Is the avatar of the OP displaying weirdly for anyone else?

Yeah.

That is vile and disgusting.

That's wizard's chess.  Del is actually a really tame version of the fetish since he quickly gets into being a she after a few rounds of sex or even just being made to eat out a female Steele, implying that the change of heart is genuine.  Many forced feminization stories are far, far nastier in how long it takes, what the person is put through, and their ability to function as a normal human being afterward.  Del's more akin to Katou Jun's works, where there's usually an eagerness on the part of the one being feminized that indicates they only required the external prodding as permission.

Nonesuch is right in that there ought to be an option to buy out Del's freedom, though, even if it's as simple as "deposit cash, remove trap".

I have never been called trans-phobic before? let a lone Cisgender. Let me clarify for you I don't identify as any gender, although my sex is female.

Grow up.

You are a very judgmental person. Gender is about as important then a persons hair color.

Yo, consensual-nonconsensual.

Quit your crying now.
