Corrupted lupines in old forest zone 1

Heyaa, so what is the story with these fellas?

from what i can gather they can encountered after your clear the wayfort and have met with momma Kas.

yet their encounter seems glitchy.
often times you can ignore them completely.

like when you meet them in an encounter you get the three options, fight, run, and surrender.
yet you also have the navigation keys. So i can just head south/north/west/east depending on my location.

using the "pick fight" option in the navigation menu will sometimes get you into a fight with them where the option to surrender/run/fight is never given.

and i cant seem to find any information on them on the wiki nor anywhere really.
not even here on the forums.

im playing the newest public release.

i dont want to spoil, but i know there's a important character involved, a jarl named Asgeir i believe.
there doesn't seem to be a bad-end related to multiple losses/surrender

anyone know something about them?

Yeah they are a bit glitchy, ive had a lot of the "they run right at you" but I just kinda...Walk away? And there will be more to them added soonish TM.

its one of my favourite encounters. And i hope a bad end will get added for them.

Pretty sure this should be fixed in backer builds now. If not, then GitHub fucked my shit

That's because most of what JStar has said (quite a lot) is on Discord rather than the forums, and the wiki is sometimes slow to update with big chunks of content like this.

Yeah, there are plans for him but they require other things to be written first, namely a dungeon associated with the corrupted lupines. Right now we have Drifa in the Coming Soon pipeline. JStar's also aware that a number of people have asked about potential bad ends, so a generic loss one might be written at some point.
