Codex and Author credits

First couple questions I have are related to the in-game Codex.

1) Does it represent the player character's knowledge, initial and accumulated, or is it just there for the player's benefit?

2) If it does represent character knowledge, is it supposed to be an actual in-game object, something like a stack of random books and journals in the player character's posession?

3) Is the information presented there supposed to be reliable and objective or can some of it be biased reporting and unreliable narration?

Finally, a small question unrelated to the Codex that I didn't want to create a separate thread for: is everything in the game besides tile descriptions supposed to have author credits, or are there some other categories of exceptions?

Well, the entry on Demons is written by Cait and it's something that has effectively no prior in-universe scholarship that can be used to weed out supposition and sort through competing claims so it's essentially what she's observed over the span of a month or two depending on how much time is supposed to canonically pass between the start of the game and the Winter City events. We know there's at least some information in there which she'd report on differently if she knew things that the player (and potentially the Champion) is aware of but which she isn't. That entry might be thought of as slightly less reliable than the others because of the circumstances, but pretty much everything in there is verified by what we can see in the game or have heard from the writers and the rest of the entries have the in-universe benefit of scholarship backing up the reports, so they can be assumed to be accurate.

Skimming the Demons entry, I noticed Cait's comments about wanting to do more research in the archives of Tychris and Khor'minos. I wonder if we'll be able to see her do that. I mean, it's more fun taking Cait to nice places and slutting it up (hello, future Khor'minos gloryholes) but taking her to nice places and doing Scholarship! could be fun too.

The moments where Cait's curiosity, intelligence and nerdiness shine are definitely a major high point in her content for me, up there with her sluttiest escapades and her role as the party's second main point of cohesion.

Beyond that, any extra interactions we will be able to get with what must be biggest in-universe treasure troves of lore would be great. Not to mention all the special options and roleplaying potential for the scholarly and magically inclined player characters. And of course all that doesn't even need to get in the way of sexy times, one should never underestimate the naughty potential of a library visit.
