This happened after doing a Conservation with the wyrms. Im not sure why or how this is happening, considering the lore and mechanics at play in this scene, and not even B himself could give insight to it, so idk what to make of it.

is this a bug? how is this even a thing?

You'll have to bring that up in bug reports. I don't recall ever writing that line.

having done the wiki documentation for this, i can extrapolate a little since you've provided no helpful information.

The Conservation sex option is done through Flurry (Alrythe). Doing the Conservation -> On Bottom route does not impregnate Flurry and impregnates Steele with Frosty's egg. Waiting 4 months after doing the scene causes Steele to birth the egg from Frosty. Because the scene was initiated through Flurry, the further waiting would require an egg from between Flurry and Steele, and none were produced from this sex option.

OK so the whole thing is just because the game has gotten all mixed up and stuff.

I guess someone's gonna need to take a wrench to this...

no, strictly speaking it works as intended since I wouldn't expect flurry to be able to incubate frosty's egg (I don't fully remember the details of how frostwyrm incubation works).

I don't think B wrote incubation scenes for every single combination of pregnancy so the coders likely did what they could.

regardless the way its funtioning now makes it confusing, and makes it seem like something went wrong.

if theres an egg, we should be able to incubate it.

and like you said before, theres no unique lines for hatching a purebred wyrm, so something tells me something got twisted in the 1s and 0s

for the third time, no. I went and looked and Frosty states that both sires of an egg must be present to incubate it. Not only that, it says in the screen shot that you sent. Conservation is a Flurry scene so the incubation scene following it would require an egg between Flurry and Steele. There is no such egg in the scene that created the outcome in your screenshot.

i did not say that. i said that the scenes do not account for every combination of pregnancy. for instance, because this is Flurry, it uses Flurry's Incubation Wait scene. Flurry has a wait scene for if he was pregnant and/or if Steele was pregnant. The latter assumes that Flurry is the sire because, again, Frostwyrm incubation requires both sires and this is a Flurry scene.

I had already done a fair amount of testing on this so many things are still correct. Doing further testing does reveal that some other things might not be working properly or that some text isn't aligned properly. I'll do more investigating later, but as it stands the "issue" that you seem to think exists is working properly.
