Lightsaber-style claymore would be pretty cool for those aspiring space knights... Or anyone looking to melt face <.<

Energy swords... Maybe something making more sense, like shock whip?

BTW, would really make sense for energy melee weapons to inflict damage based on reflexes rather than physique. Unlike classic melee weapons, it's damage is not from kinetic energy, but from weapon itself. It should require finesse rather than brute force.

I cant remember the name of the project they had a doc for it all. a space station the works all laid out. not sure of it's status.  just figured id mention it  cant remember the  author tho sorry.

Think it's this one you think about. https://web.archive.org/web/20141021005510/http://forum.fenoxo.com/thread-10182.html

It "had" huuuuge station to get rusty power armor (that author then cut in size due to lack content to fill station) and then was able dependent of class upgrade suit after restoring him (or building literaly new one using some salvadged pieces of it and using overeal suit plans as base for something new). So it was or Huge, hulking heavy power suit (simply restored old one) or for more nimble users "slim version" of said power armor. It not like 30 pages but well already been 21 or so pages (and only cuz author made cool upgrades for techs I remebered about it existing at all).

If there will be way to acces gdoc from that thread (I think their somehow closed to viewing even or I just not know way to bypass it) there would be chance that some mad soul would try ressurect it/cannibalize it into own submission. Or author himself if he make/made accuount on new fen forum may keep working on it in his own pace.

@Savin: That bow from SyriQuest is like: we make her quest and she leaving to Uveto while we getting access to that weapon for whatever reason? Or it can be gained without finishing quest fully? (hopefully I not asking you too much like spoil some suprises that awaits us in this quest)

I tried just clicking the google doc links and got the way back error message so I guess we wait to see if writer rejoins new forums or someone else remembers enough to pick up the pieces

It's a drop from an (optional) boss during the quest.

I'm really looking forward to the Tachyon Beam Laser as if I'm stuck with just energy guns I want one that goes "WEEEEEEEEEMP!" once and not one that makes lots of little "pew pew pew" shots.

Could we maybe repair it later?

No. 12 damage was what it was SUPPOSED to have been doing the entire time. I'd written it to do 12 Kinetic (Tag: Corrosive) damage, but that probably sounded in the doc like 12 Kinetic + 12 Corrosive damage, which is bad for a Planet 1 weapon.

Just wait until planet 6 or whatever when I put in the inevitable super bow for that planet.

Heat Hawk please if Beam Sabers are getting in.

It exists, but requires taking out Shade which is less than desirable for many players, especially when we don't yet have any idea what the consequences are in the follow-up quests.  In fact I personally avoid the bar in Myrellion outright because of this, or at least keep a backup save.

The Arc Caster is currently only available if you chose to fight Shade.  If you didn't, you'll have to wait until it becomes available on Uveto.

I just cheated in my Royal Shard Bow, I couldn't possibly just leave the lonely Queen there to wait for her extinction and take the bow. Sort of hoping there will be more content for her race later on, especially with the child you give birth to.

Thats not what I meant. Everyone joyfully skipped over it, preferring the nova weapons. It's my tech specialist character's preferred end game weapon(cause who does not like throwing lightning bolts at primitives).

The reason it's not usually brought up in equipment discussions is because it's locked behind one particular option in what looks to be a lengthy quest chain, and the most extreme option at that.  You lock yourself out of all future Shade content, and possibly most content involving her daughter if she finds out.  That's way too much to lose for a gun that will become obsolete as soon as Uveto is in.

I remember someone writing up a weapon that's essentially a mining laser.  Considering Uveto has a pretty big mining industry, it might be appropriate to implement there.

Aside from that, lots of Thermal and Electrical-based weapons.  Got to have something to deal with all those ice creatures and whatever lurks in that aquatic zone.

Speaking of which, if anybody has ideas for Uveto-appropriate weapons, feel free to throw 'em at me. Started tooling out an inventory this morning.

Not like I wrote them with Uveto in mind, but I have four weapons sitting around in a GDoc. You already had a look at the first two if memory serves.

You are also welcome to use them as inspiration or whatever if they are not fit for implementation as is but parts of them are to your liking nonetheless.

I beat the Queensguard and Queen Taivra in one turn each using the Myr Bow. They didn't perform a single action, they just lost before they could do anything. And the Royal Shard Bow is stronger (and totally an option for all characters for whom egging, pregnancy, breast growth or lactation is unacceptable)... so right now, it's hard not to go with Lust bows.

Lust weapons are strange, though. The game separates weapons into Melee and Ranged categories for the purpose of linking them to stats, and also separates damage between HP and Lust. But while HP damage is based off stats and weapon, Lust damage is based entirely off your weapon. There is no Seduction stat or whatnot to improve your Lust damage, even with the basic Tease. I guess it's to balance the fact that HP damage characters can beat anything while there are some enemies in the game that are immune to both Lust and EMP grenades, disallowing the option of making a purely Lust-based character. Which admittedly, in a sex game, is super odd. Violence > Sex?

What stat would a "not-lightsaber" use? In other games it would have been either a very specific weapon proficiency (like Sword Skill) or, if tied to a stat, it would have been Agility. Now TiTS doesn't make distinction between weapon forms (which is good, leaves more flexibility when creating them), so it should be tied directly to a stat, but... which one? Strength would not improve its damage. It requires finesse, which screams Agility, but that stat doesn't exist here; it has been cut into multiple pieces, with only two highly specialized ones being present. Aim is strictly for Ranged weapons, and Reflexes seems to be a purely defensive stat for avoiding attacks, so neither work here.

For the sake of consistency, it'll probably just work off of Physique. It'll be a melee Merc/Smuggler weapon for disabling enemy shields. Techs don't really give a shit about melee weapons (energy or not) because 99% of Tech Specialists are Ranged; the level 3 perk is just too strong to ignore and it's Ranged only.

Heh, it doesn't matter. The "best" weapon will change every major update.

Truth. Fen's working on a Myrellion tech weapons shop that'll probably blow everything else out of the water, especially for Tech Specialists. Uveto's going to have some pretty strong weapons, too.

re: lightsabers: Physique is the melee attack stat, period. That said, I could totally see a "Finesse" tag getting added to melee weapons that lets you use AIM instead if it's higher (though maybe keep physique for damage?). That's how I set it in the tabletop game, anyway. Would make a lot of sense for some existing weapons like Kiro's sabre.

Hmm... since TiTS does support weapon tags, I think the Finesse tag thing is a very nice idea.

I mean, it still makes little sense that a muscular character would be better at wielding a weightless weapon than a non-muscular one with better reflexes, but at the very least, having another stat (Aim? Reflexes?) affect part of the melee attack (be it chance to hit or damage) would give non-muscular characters a half-decent melee option, not to mention make the weapon function more closely like it's supposed to.

That tag system does offer some nice possibilities when used to its full potential, I hadn't realized how versatile it could be...

Ok Savin-sama.

If you're Adding Heat Hawks and lightsabers what about Scythes and energy spears. Go full Gundam!   Or even G Gundam with some Energy Burning Gauntlets.
