A Tyrant's End (For jasmac)

[Archangel99]

"Alright... Now, watch me very closely, and try to replicate my moves as exactly as you can." She says, making a slow sweep of her staff which would be aimed at the legs of an enemy, then twirling back around to slam it into the head, still moving slowly so that they can see her clearly.
"Alright. That's the basic one two combination of a staff. All of you try it now!" She says, looking around.

[Gotta sleep.]

Sadie positions her hands carefully, the spear on her left side of her body, and with her right hand farthest forwards on the pole. Slowly, she tries to replicate the move, shifting her feet on the floor to make the maneuver feel more fluid just as she makes the final bop on the imaginary enemy's head.

"Alright... Again!" Karina calls out, watching all of them carefully.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie reads that as a callout of herself and straightens her back, making her motions look more deliberate as she sweeps out the legs of the pretend foe and then bashes them on the head.

 

[Archangel99]

"Alright... Everyone did it correctly. Now do it faster. Like how you would do it in actual combat!" She says, clasping her hands behind her back as she moves to a raised podium at the back of the class.

Sadie tightens her grip around the boar spear, setting up precautions with one hand in front of the other to prevent overshooting her sweep with the heavy weapon. Then, she raises it up to of course bop the enemy's head.

 

[Archangel99]

"Good, good! Reava, lower your second swing a bit. You're not fighting giants, dear." Karina says, which makes Reava blush with embarrassment.
"Poggle, a little faster, please. The enemy isn't going to be standing in one place waiting for you to hit them!" She calls out, and Poggle nods.
"Hmm... Sadie, watch your footing. You're not stable enough. Someone can easily push you over!" She says.
"Uh, miss? That's her on a general basis!" Poggle says with a chuckle, which makes Karina crack a smile.
"I hope you mean physically and not mentally, Poggle!" She says with a chuckle.
"I mean both!"

 

[jasmac]

"Um, you heard her. A little faster, please, Poggle. Slow as a snail, physically and mentally." She fires back with a smile, straightening her poise, firming up her feet in the stance, and preparing herself for another go.

 

[Archangel99]

"Might be slow, but at least I've got all my screws in place. Pretty sure we fucked some of yours out the other day!" He shoots back.
"Okay, okay kids. Cool it!" Karina says, rolling her eyes. "Again!"

 

[jasmac]

"...Sure won't once I'm done with you." Sadie mutters quietly, trying the swing with her new form, and keeping her feet flat in place as she does.

 

[Archangel99]

Karina nods as she looks around the room.
"Again!"
Again and again she makes them repeat the manoeuvre, until Sadie's arms are sore and shaking, and she simply can't hold the heavy weapon anymore.
"Hmm. Oh my. I almost forgot to tell you. This is Form I. Whenever I call out Form I, you are to repeat this move!" She says loudly.

 

[jasmac]

"Yes, Master." Sadie chimes, assuming everyone else will as well. She plays over the mental image again and again, with the leg sweep, and then head bop, and she tries to keep it associated with the words "Form I."

 

[Archangel99]

"Alright. Class dismissed. I trust you know the way to your next one?" She says, raising an eyebrow.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie raises one back, looking at her fellow cadets and planning to follow the masses. "Well, I guess we'll find out once we get there."

 

[Archangel99]

"Sadie... We have obstacle course next." Poggle says, rolling his eyes and walking out of the room.

 

[jasmac]

"Ever heard of banter?" Sadie quips back, jogging along to catch up before trying to outrun him to the course.

 

[Archangel99]

"Yep! Go ahead! Tire yourself out!" He calls out as he continues walking at his normal pace.

Sadie just sticks her tongue out him, slowing gradually down as they get closer to the obstacle course.

 

[Archangel99]

Being the one in front of the pack, Sadie is the first one out. She sees Max talking to a pissed off Cassandra, who has her arms crossed and seems to be fuming, while Max seems to be trying to calm her down. When she sees Sadie, she immediately narrows her eyes, and Max turns. "Oh hey! Bunny! Forgot your name. Thanks for pissing off my girlfriend. Now I'm not getting laid tonight!" He says, making a face at her.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie stares back, almost chummy with her tone. "Yeah, I guess I probably had this coming. Just don't act like you wouldn't have said the same if you were in my place." Her nose twitches, and she turns to the furious Cass, unable to fully take her seriously after the incident. "Hey, on the bright side. At least you got to take your anger out by whipping my ass about half a dozen times. Although, it looks like you could use way more than that to really fizzle out. Not judging. You do what you have to."

 

[Archangel99]

"Weeeelll that's because I'm her boyfriend. I have the right and authority to do so. You, a cute bunny junior," he pokes her little button nose. "Don't!" He says with a grin. Cass just raises an eyebrow at him.

 

[jasmac]

"Yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that I already said it. Chastise me about it, or do whatever it is you're planning as punishment, if you please. Else, I'd like to be on my way, as long as that's alright with you two, of course." She grins modestly, eyes twinkling ambiguously.

 

[Archangel99]

"I'm fine with it. Are you fine with it, Cass?" Max asks, shrugging as he looks at Cass innocently.
"Max... There's supposed to be a chain of command here..." Cassandra groans.
"Yeah. So? Doesn't mean we have to be dicks all the time."
"We have to teach them RESPECT!"
"I highly doubt hitting them with a whip is any form of getting them to respect you." Max says, rolling his eyes.
"It shuts them up!"
"That's not respect."
"Close enough!"
"No, not even- Okay. You and I are going to have a long chat when we get back... For now, let's do the exercises!" He says, grinning as the other cadets appear.

 

[jasmac]

"Thank you, have a nice time then. If you still care, it's Sadie." She says sweetly, bowing her head as she joins the rest of the cadets, trying to sink back in among the nearest familiar faces.

 

[Archangel99]

Once again, they are split into boys and girls, and Sadie winds up with Amara again.
Except this time, Cassandra is watching them, and not Max!

"Alright... On your marks... Get set... Go!" Cassandra yells.

[Going to sleep. Almost passed out.]

[Goodnight!]

Sadie starts at a steady run, staying light on her feet as they come up on the rubber rings. With a deep breath, she reminds herself that it's just one ring after the other, nimbly jabbing her first foot into the hole and onto the ground as she tries to repeat that with alternating footwork.

She almost trips on one, but manages to get through without a problem. Next is the wall, followed by the rings on the other side.

Sadie thinks back to her previous form, huffing her breaths as she sprints full speed at the wall, and leaping up to try and grab the lip if she can't clear it.

 

[Archangel99]

She manages to make it over the wall easily, but almost slipping as she does so. Amara manages to get on the wall faster this time, before jumping down to the rings like before, but instead doing a graceful swing rather than the fall like last time.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie watches Amara as she does this, convincing herself that she can perform the same swing as she takes a deep breath of self assurance. She lunges at the rings, trying to catch them and try her luck at not ripping her own arms off.
