A negative total Evasion is dangerous. As long as you balance out Evasion penalties with bonuses, you should be fine.

And it was even in the description of the blade... but for some reason I thought that this blade vampires health. Perhaps me need to not only look at the characteristics, but also read the description, curious things are then revealed …
Probably because it has 'Vamp' in the name. It's an easy mistake to make. There is a weapon that absorbs Health, and it's Ranged for some reason.

Then the final build will be Attack Drone + Charge Weapon + Deflector Regeneration + Gravidic Disruptor + Weapon Tweaks (after all, is the fire suppression system only for freezing?) + Shield Hack + Second Attack + Drone Control + Boosted Charges / Linked Emitters?
That's pretty much what I use.
Of note: +20% weapon damage only applies to the base weapon damage. It's not as big a bonus as you might think.
Base Damage x 1.2 + (Physique or Aim)/2. If the weapon has 2 damage types, it's Stat/4 to each, if 3, Stat/6.
I don't find Shield Hack that good, because with Charge Weapon, you do huge damage to Shields anyway. Why spend the extra Energy? If you do use the Vamp Blade, Shields you remove via Hacking aren't added to yours. I'm not particularly interested in Charge Shield, either. I actually skip that row.
I took Boosted Charges, even though I hardly ever use Gravidic Disruptor, for more unavoidable damage in case there's something I can't damage otherwise. I don't think the extra Critical chance is very useful, especially if you're sticking with FZR. But maybe there will be a better weapon combination someday. And the FZR is significantly less useful on Uveto.

I thought everyone just shook their booty at Amara until she bit her lip and then Kara shoots her off the building...
That certainly works, but it may not be suitable for all characters.

Okay, I'm straight up not reading all that. Two things:

1) If you're having trouble there is an easy mode
2) Amara is admittedly difficult, but can still be wrecked by a melee Tech Spec at level 8

I will go on the record and I will say two things:

1. It was not even about the complexity of the game, but about the unfair difference in the capabilities of the opponents and the player, Amara (this cheating bitch) served as an example.
2. If you did not notice, then my words were about a character in version 0.6.40, there are no Charge Weapon and many things / items. And the available ones are often weaker. Just compare the balance of power in the attached screenshot and remember Amar's resists and her habit of keeping stunned for virtually unlimited time:

P.S. I don’t like the easy mode, but if I come across a similar Amara cheating bitch, I still need to, although even so it can have energy to keep her under stunning. Otherwise, I will be stunned from the beginning to the end of the battle!

That certainly works, but it may not be suitable for all characters.

My happiness is that it was easier for me to gain the first levels by seduction of opponents, otherwise I would have nothing corny to defeat Juggernaut and Amara...

P.S. Oh yes, you advised me https://wiki.smutosaur.us/TiTS/Nova_Shield_Generator, this is a bit stronger than my current https://wiki.smutosaur.us/TiTS/Hammer_Shield, but I'm somewhat annoyed by the reduced kinetics resistance. Does this reduce the usefulness of the shield in most battles?

I found the formula for negative Evasion. It says each -1 Evasion multiplies damage by 1.03, but it looks like 1.04 to me. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.
//So, -1 evasion = mult by 1.03
//-5 = mult by 1.15

While Amara actually does have a 25% weakness to Freezing, I don't think the FZR is necessary for this fight. Wiki says she has a 94.5% Resistance to Energy Weapons. I'm not sure that's true. Her armor is Mirrored (90% resistance to Laser), but we're not using Laser weapons.
Went back to my old save. The strategy that seems to work consistently (2 times in a row, at least):
Turn
1. Paralyzing Shock. With 40 Intelligence, it always seems to work.
2. Charge Weapon. You get a free attack when activating this ability. If you brought the Vamp Blade, this also prevents you from 'wasting' Shields drained from Amara when you haven't taken damage yet.
3. If Amara's paralysis wears off, use Paralyzing Shock again. Otherwise, Attack.
4. Repeat turn 3 until victory.
The key seems to be preventing Amara from taking any turns at all.
Ignore the Void Troopers. They don't matter. Unless one throws a Smoke Grenade.
Tam-Wolf doesn't seem to do much in this fight (at level 8 without Drone Control), so you might want to switch to a different Accessory and increase your Shields.
I'm having trouble keeping track of your current character's equipment vs the 0.6.40 character.

There is an enemy on Zheng Shi that can ignore Shields 1 every 3 turns if she wants. I bought a Hirudo Devourer just for her. Bring Burning Resistance.

I'm saying don't worry about it. I don't think it makes much of a difference. You don't have to choose a Perk at a level to choose the next level's Perk. You still won't be able to choose more than one Perk in any row, but you can defer a choice as long as you want. Like I said, I currently use the Custom Shock Gear (and don't always open with the FZR). I don't really see myself using a different weapon at least until another Bonus Hit Rate + Stun Chance is added.

I don't know for sure, because I always pick up the Reaper before doing KaraQuest2, but according to the Wiki, Amara does Kinetic and Burning. Compared to the Hammer Shield, the Nova Shield has +25 Shield points, -15% Kinetic Resistance, but +20% Burning. That may be worth it. You certainly don't have to sell your Hammer Shield right away.

If the numbers on the wiki lie a little, then the result in any case shows the unsatisfactory effectiveness of energy weapons. Although it is still not 95% resist to energy weapons and victory through its use is quite possible.

About the same thoughts, just postpone the choice of the perk of the seventh level and, possibly, the sixth and tenth.

I don't know for sure, because I always pick up the Reaper before doing KaraQuest2, but according to the Wiki, Amara does Kinetic and Burning. As already mentioned, I am more concerned with continuous stunning, and there was not noticeable fire damage in the battle with her, unlike using a machine gun. And the void pirates also have kinetic damage. Therefore, in my opinion, Hammer Shield is at least in this battle better than the Nova Shield Generator. Although, maybe, I still do not take into account something.

UPDATE. It’s a little annoying that the system allows you to publish a post with a lack of tags ... And independently creates from wherever IT wants. And then it does not allow correcting everything as it was necessary and remove extra tag through editing. ((

I noticed that too. She's not supposed to do that anymore. Amara's Stunlock tendency was discussed in the comments on the Blog post for 0.8.024. It got changed so she couldn't re-Stun a character that was already Stunned. Report a bug?

Regarding Amar’s resists, it suddenly occurred to me that the information on the wiki might just be out of date. In the end, the experience for it on the wiki is definitely outdated:
You defeated 3x void pirates and Amara! 66393 XP gained!
They had 454 credits loaded on anonymous credit chits that you appropriate.

In theory, Amar’s characteristics changed in some version 0.7.xx, I would say that it was after version 0.7.28, but before version 0.7.73 or so.

Just loaded a backup save: 3 Void Pirates are worth 41,656 XP. Amara should be about 22,509. There does seem to be a random factor involved, so that looks about right.
Interestingly, she's worth normal XP, not Boss XP (double).

I think a lot of forum members don't start new characters that often, and/or already have their strategy for her planned out.

I only have a character per version. And it’s really not even in every version I have.My experience more or less games in just a few versions.

That is a big XP discrepancy.
Sifting through some of the code, I'm guessing the XP formula changed at some point. Or maybe it was always wrong.

I was mistaken, the last version with a small order of experience numbers was 0.6.52, already at 0.6.55 the numbers became four-digit.

She is only the first (?) But not the last one. Recall at least these damned Gabilani Vacationers, opponents who are very difficult for their level with little experience and (almost) no loot. Or is it because the victory was won over “just” two goblins of the third level? Is it nothing that in this case they were just pilots and their own level does not matter?

Bosses... are supposed to be stronger than the player... that's why they're bosses...

Also maybe download the current build? Also apparently she's weaker than before now, but I fought her just fine when the fight was first released. And as someone else said, she's weak as fuck to teasing, that's what you're "supposed" to do.

Wait, are you not playing the most recent version, @Baggrin? Half the reason games go through revisions is to fix balance issues.

The other half is to add new content and/or find excuses to make your players pay through the nose buying more and more miniatures just in order to field a legal army. YMMV.

And as someone else said, she's weak as fuck to teasing, that's what you're "supposed" to do.
Hit your enemy where he's weakest. That's covered on day one of Tactics 101.

What shield generator is she equipped with according to the wiki? How many shields does this give her? And how much is she REALLY? Such a number should not be available to her even taking into account the perks of my class (+80 maximum) "They are just bosses", yes, and they do not care about damned logic ...

Another option: Storm Lancer. Sorry, but it seemed to me that I was the techno specialist! To have such significant shields and health at the same time is simply unfair! And about unlimited (yes, I know that he can not use it every turn) reloading the shield... I am completely silent. No, I do not think so. It is quite happy with the build that I have now.

Also apparently she's weaker than before now, but I fought her just fine when the fight was first released.

And, as already mentioned, in version 0.6.40 I simply could not find options with good damage, because all the weapons I had were energy weapons.
My best result per shot was something like

Amara is stunned!

And ordinary:

You land a hit on Amara with your modded arc caster! The attack connects with Amara! (H: -14)

You land a hit on Amara with your modded arc caster! The attack connects with Amara! (H: -20)

... In those cases when I managed to get on it. Needless to say, I simply did not have enough shield and energy, even taking into account the exclusively theoretical version of 100% accuracy. Add smoke grenades, simple misses, the need to be distracted by rebuilding the shield, re-destroying Amar’s shield ... P.S. Now I launched version 0.6.40, it was lucky at first to defeat her comrades-in-arms relatively quickly, then left with her alone to be able to finish her with my last health (10) with ordinary shots. But I would not say that it was a victory by tactics or build, simple luck.

And as someone else said, she's weak as fuck to teasing, that's what you're "supposed" to do.

Yeah, sexually teasing a captain trying to kill / capture you ... I find this option a little silly.

Wait, are you not playing the most recent version, @Baggrin? Half the reason games go through revisions is to fix balance issues.

Hit your enemy where he's weakest. That's covered on day one of Tactics 101.

In version 0.6.40 (one of two, where my character reached a level above the fifth) I had to do so. Although after acquaintance with the wiki, a theoretical option appeared in the future to come to battle with it having some powerful non-energy weapon.
The fact that Amara now has more sane resists is good, now she is actually defeated by the use of weapons. At least if applying a character with 40 in all the core stats ...

She's been a pirate for longer than we've been alive, and is carrying military grade stolen and modified power armor and minigun. We have random crap we buy from small legal merchants or take from people we beat up, and canonically some schooling and a couple months practical experience. Realistically, our win is a fluke.

From a logical point of view, this is true ... but why then do we have a restriction (level or event) to what we can buy / get, why should we fight in the minority instead of trying to avoid (and trap she If possible / necessary)? Logically, a character with such a background needs to raise the level and requirements of the quest ... or introduce reasons why it is not as good as it should be.

In terms of game balance, level = strength. So why is she only eighth level ?! Although you can not answer, the fact is that just the eighth level at that time was the highest player available and she was an adversary. And for her level she (was) simply absurdly strong.

However, as has already been said: the problem is that the hardware should be identical and have similar limitations. But only we have a limit on how many times a battle can reload a shield. In addition, as has already been said, we are a techno specialist here and we must, due to many years of training (good training, in theory) use technology efficiently, rather than a pirate captain with a "slightly" different profile.

If you aren't going to update your game your gaming experience Literally Cannot be improved, and that's on you.

My characteristics in saving before the fight with Amara

in the end, the easiest and quickest way to defeat Amar for me was to tease her with my chest or crotch.

Since it has already been mentioned that in the current version I haven’t reached Amara yet, this is a character of version 0.6.40 with old equipment. My comment is about how the victory over her happened.

Save from version 0.6.40 was loaded in version 0.8.58:

Amara falls to the ground, defeated.

Although it is still not 95% resist to energy weapons and victory through its use is quite possible.


In turn-based quotes of damage in the battle with her (my version was mentioned once more times) with different types of weapons, it was evident that Amara fell. I did not mention that it was easy (in general, that was exactly so), but said that victory with energy weapons is quite possible.

1. Sad but true: no, not always. And as soon as she got out of stunning, I was stunned until the end of the battle. Did I mention how I hate this cheating bitch?
2. As soon as she got out of the stun, I was no longer helped by a shield close to full and the Deflector Regeneration turned on in advance.

Mentioning my current version again, mentioning how the above (Different weapons were tested in different attempts) battles went. A significant problem in these battles was indicated only by stunlock. With stunned Amara, I had enough shields and my damage (As can be seen from the fallen Amara a little higher) was enough to win.

Don’t worry about it, my saves from version 0.6.40 has only a sentimental meaning.

However, if I need to say directly who I am playing now, then here is my current character:

My character is indicated directly (the ninth level is indicated, whereas in version 0.6.40 the maximum was the eighth).

As already mentioned, I am more concerned with continuous stunning, and there was not noticeable fire damage in the battle with her, unlike using a machine gun.

A little more about the battle with Amara, but only indirect evidence of my recognition of the possibility of defeating her with a weapon. Stunlock’s problem was mentioned again, but about 50 damage to two targets or 100 to the (remaining) one was not mentioned. However, @Theron was so nice that (s)he showed me a couple of good types of melee weapons (Lightning rod and vamp blade).

Although it will be possible to buy a grenade launcher and try to use it on groups ...

Strange, it seemed to me that the game had a grenade launcher or rocket launcher. But the wiki knows nothing about this. Is Vicki inaccurate or was my memory just failing me?

There's the Goovolver and it's upgrade Goozooka, but they do Tease damage to a single target. CTL-3 Electric Launcher or the Acid Launcher, but I don't think they do area damage.

Smugglers have Grenades/Gas (Lust) Grenades as a Perk, and Mercenaries can get Carpet Grenades as a Perk. Gravidic Disruptor technically does damage to groups. Now I'm wondering if Gravidic Disruptor doing so little damage to other enemies in combat is a bug or not.

There doesn't seem to be anything doing area damage in Combat Consumable.

Is anybody else annoyed that the Arc Caster's description specifically mentions it's possible to hit multiple targets with it, but cannot actually be used that way?

So my memory failed me. It seems that almost the only mass attack available to me is EMP grenades.

Speaking of them, by the way. Prevention doesn’t work, or am I just not aware of the limitations?

Little. I'm more annoyed off by the fact that every random bitch has a shields of above my level (but I have the best shield in the game of the available!).

I can understand the Urbolg shield, because it is a hand-made shield that is too heavy for many. In addition, he is located on he is own territory and could be connected to some kind of power source.

I can understand Dr. Lash, (s)he is of unknown age and experience and is the strongest (technically) character in the game.

But when all sorts of oncoming bandits have 150+ shields and can restore them in one way or another ...

In this light, the use of B.D.S. looks more and more attractive.

I'd have to check all the sexable enemies to be sure, but I'd say a lot of them have support for sexless Steeles, especially the ones that fuck your butt even if you do have genitals. Most of the major NPCs (i.e. ones that have their own storylines) support sex with sexless Steeles, so AFAIK, the only major NPC whose content you'll be mostly blocked off from is Penny (her first-time sex scene, which is necessary to progress her story, requires genitals and doesn't have hardlight support).
That said, there are still quite a lot of scenes in the game that require genitals of some variety, which will lock you out of those scenes - though some penis-using scenes also support using hardlight strapons, so you might want to pick up one. I don't think there are any loss scenes in that category, though.

Basically, it'll force whatever the writer for that scene chose to force, but it depends on each scene. Sometimes, an enemy won't even have sex with you because nobody wanted to write a sex scene for someone without sexual organs

So I started a new playthrough since I wanted to try out the new stuff and am now stuck on Tarkus because I have too many members. Since I don't want to kick anyone out (idk if kicking them out will stop their storylines), I wanted to ask how to get 50k credits without leaving the planet or if I can kick out for example Azra and pick her up later on.

Look up each NPC's entry on the wiki. That will tell you stuff like where crewmembers stay when they're not onboard your ship. For instance, Azra should be in the Tavros Hangar if you postpone her mission.

There's also the "clowncar" cheat.
