Loading this save my stats window on the left is just... gone, and so when i run into enemies I just instantly lose. The only difference between this save, and a save 4 days prior to it (ingame) which still works, is that this save has done J's new stuff. Also for the message about the save being edited, I added some electrum to the save file back on day 2 so I could just buy better equipment an the message has been like that since. Not sure if its relevant in any way.
