Oh God, yeah, Level 3 is low for that quest. Meant for Level 4-5.  Also using a melee weapon as a Tech is a really bad idea, especially if it's not an energy weapon.

The Aegis has such a huge Accuracy penalty on it because it's a [Power Armor] weapon. You simply lack the strength to use it effectively at present.
