Data>Save to File Y'know, the button right next to Save? Should have been fairly obvious. Save it anywhere that's not a temporary location. You need to use Load from File to load it, since normal Load won't open it.

That happened to me once. I also clicked yes cause I thought it would just save over the specified save location...Nope! I've since decided Save to Browser and Save to File are a hassle, and have been copying the save text to an editor and saving it that way.

Save scumming is tedious. You could just lose and spam it. But as Etis mentioned, if your stats are terrible, it'll take a while, if ever. My first character had something that felt like a 1/15 chance of beating her.
