After some more testing, I realized that the Sturmbull shotgun is quite less useful than the Saumorial Railgun. If you're a Mercenary, you should always get the Railgun over the shotgun. The crit damage doesn't make up against the guaranteed multi-hit and the overall increased damage output.

I picked up Satyrite, not Savicite. The main reason for me not keeping Savicite and Kirkite on my ship is that those gemstones are dark green, a color that I dislike a bit. Satyrite kinda look's like cat's eye, white picardine is supposed to resemble red-tinted quartz.
