No. CoC has plenty of abandonware, and it's restrictive creative control (the original writer has the final say, no matter what) means that it's nearly impossible for writers who might have been interested to tie up loose ends, after the original writer looses interest or just disappears.

Have you ever met an elder pitcher? They certainly have a conversation with Steele. Not only that, but it's a conversation that can hypnotize Steele (although their words do have a little help with from their hips). Their status as sapient beings is not in question.
