It isn't that people take it super seriously (though there are several aspects which people do take seriously), but the main reason why things like that often get heavily shot down is because, well, I feel like "de-dick Etheryn" (along with "de-dick Berwyn") is one of the most common requests made in this thread and the Gripes thread. Often it's recommended for people to search for things themselves. This site has a search feature, and while it's honestly pretty bad a lot of the time, it can still let you look for if this topic has been discussed before, and get answers to your questions and requests that way. If you can't find it in the search, then ask away.
The reason people here don't like de-dicking is because it's viewed (and unfortunately, often done) as character assassination, turning what is usually a brash, confident and self-assured character with a dick into a mewling bitch who only wants some more dickings. I won't comment on that since I myself have written the most pandery companion in the game, but I personally only plan on writing it as part of a character arc.
And before anyone says "well yes but the meaningful character arc was implied", it wasn't. For every 1 person asking for Etheryn dedicking as part of a grand thing to make her feel like a woman or whatever thing they've come up with, there's 99 asking just because they want her dickless so they can fuck her like every other woman in the game. Just look at any blog post for evidence.
It's a somewhat unfortunate situation because both sides get boiled down to garbage, and the issue comes up very often so it's become a sore point.
Additionally, I should point this out, the vast, vast majority of our paying customers like dickgirls, and want more of them. We've polled this pretty extensively. There is no silent majority out there waiting for us to turn the game into a utopian harem paradise, not that anyone here has implied that.

Well sorry, I guess. I honestly figured that in a thread that has 162 pages no one would care, much less get salty.
My thought process was entirely just "oh wow, this game's cool now. CoC often had interesting directions you could take companions, I might as well piss into the wind about these characters I like." The fact that this is apparently a thing and that people actually have taken sides in it is just so divorced from anything I would have considered that it blows my mind.

I feel like we hit utopian harem paradise a while back... Not really sure how their relative status as futas really affects that, heck Berwyn is an outright guy and he gives off enough Tsundere energy to power a small city by himself lol. With respect you sort of have to be ridiculously picky to be able to claim that the game doesn't at least have a character which caters to you specifically at this point.
Also, I'm curious who you mean by most pandery? If its Brienne then I need to reassess my previously negative opinion on pandering since she is sort of awesome and would be sufficient to make me a big fan of pandering.
Honestly though? As much as it pleases my own personal preferences, there is a reason I don't even mention it that often. It really seems like the only thing that gets consistently kink-shamed, which sort of sucks since I do like to think the community on here is largely pretty open and accepting beyond that. It being a rare treat and extremely unlikely, I can be totally cool with, its the outright hostility alot of folks display at the mention of it that leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Which is sort of funky given that it is not the most unconventional fetish we have material addressing (glances at the ghosts, slaves and trees).

Real talk, this. It just seems like a classic case of "stop not liking what I like". The only reason having the option would necessitate assassinating that character would be if is if it was written that way and writing it that way would defeat the whole purpose of doing it in the first place.
The literal only relevant fact put forth throughout all of this is Savin doesn't want to do it. The conversation had absolutely no reason to continue beyond that point. Any other justification given for why it won't/"""shouldn't""" happen is completely moot because that's the only thing that actually matters. If he doesn't want to pursue that avenue, he doesn't want to do it, and all that's worth is a shrug and an "oh well, at least I asked". Because getting up in arms about what kind of content is/isn't in a free porn game on the internet is a massive waste of time.

Have you done the Rift content yet? There's already the seeds of something like this (except it's magical tattoos) that will allow you to breathe and communicate underwater, though that's implied future content rather than something implemented. Gardeford has mentioned there are plans for a 'blue whale mermaid' in the distant future so assuming that's still coming there will be more aquatic races eventually.

I'm sorry if this turnes out to be a mess. I think with soul bargaining. The girthy rod summoning tentacles to tease your enemies. I think there's an opening for a cosmic Eldridge like god to traid your soul for power. For balance I think corruption should be a big factor either needing a minimum level to contact the god or make the deal and corruption is set to an amout that prevents it from gettin lower. The boons could be maybe more tenticle attacks and tease based spells. Maybe a bdsm angle for the patron like your there sub forever somthin like that
The game desperately needs more storage space, am butting up against the limit despite having what I believe every currently available upgrade and having returned some uniques to their owners.
Just got done donating to the orphanage to max it out, with all the pointless sacks of coins I now possess could melt them down and forge chests outta the stuff nevermind buy more containers!

what are you hoarding? I assumed if you only placed special gear in the chest it would hold everything and then some. If it's consumables or common items can't you just sell it and buy it when you need it considering you have excess amounts of money?
The wine is a gift from Ryn so don't feel right just dumping it and I saved the short sword you get at the start of the game for sentimental reasons. Apart from that I've been clearing out the couple of other 'generic' type items I kept in storage.
The storage capacity is going to need to increase sooner rather than later as new content keeps getting added and more uniques drop (like the Silver Mask which is what started tipping things for my stash.)

Does the short sword have a different description than a regular one? Because I've been tossing it every time I make a new character.
I always keep the starting Short Sword if I have one... so I don't have to buy one again for Quin because I'm a cheapskate like that. xD

I'd like to be able restore Phyria, and I guess Philander, to a living body. Besides liking Ria, the ancient heirs to the throne showing up 2 centuries later would be funny to watch unfold. I don't know if it's possible from a story perspective though. Their situation is different from Kiyoko's, but a quest to free them would be the feel good story of the month. Plus, I can have sexy snek goddess all too myself and not share.
