First off I'm using the revamp mod. I've downloaded the pack and extracted it to the img folder i created but after that I'm lost on what to do to have it work. Would seeing a screenshot help?

Might help. Did you download the file or are you playing it in browser? If you did download it, the game will auto load the pictures when you play it. Is the problem pictures aren't showing in-game?

Well i downloaded the file then drag the .swf into the search engine to play. Do i need a standalone flash player to get them to load?Screenshot 2015-12-19 11.49.24.png

You can use a standalone player or just play it in a browser. The img folder is in the right place. What exactly is the problem?

It's as if the game isn't recognizing that I have the image pack. Nothing is loading. No outlined box with an image symbols. Nothing. It's like I'm playing the game normal

Are you playing the Revamp mod? In Main menu > Settings > Interface, there's an option that disables the image pack. Make sure Toggle Images in on.

Does your folder structure look like this?

  • CoC_version.sfw
  • img Folder

    Image1
  • image2
  • and so on...

Nevermind, I got it to work.

Last time I tried the MediaFire link it said you do not have permission to download.

Also the Mega download just wouldn't start at all.

Maybe it was just a bug on my end..?

Mega must have done something recently since even the interface looks a little different. It has been a little buggy lately, I had a download yesterday that I had to restart three times before it finally took. First time it never even started and the second it stalled at 99%. They've really started to go downhill, use to be fast, reliable, and very idiot-proof. Well, now it's really just fast when it works, which seems to be half the time nowadays. Shame.

Are you playing on a computer or phone as it'll only work on a computer?

Have you taken the img folder out of the zip file and saved it next to your CoC file?

The folder structure should look like:

<CoC_Folder>

                CoC_Version.swf

                <img>

                                img1

                                img2

                                img3

                                ...and so on

Are you playing the original version? In the main menu, click Debug Info. Is your CurrentSandboxMode: LocalWithFile?

Are you playing the Revamp mod? In Settings > Interface, check that Toggle Images is ON.

I don't know if this has come up in discussion but, I would also like to make a recommendation for something that could be edited into the first post. I have discovered through play that the revamp image packs load better in Firefox than they do in Google Chrome. In fact there are many instances where chrome will flat out not load certain images while Firefox loads them just fine. This might reduce some of the frustrations that other users may have encountered. If anyone knows a workaround in Chrome to eliminate this particular issue I wouldn't mind knowing it myself :D.

Interesting. If other people bring it up or it happens to myself, i'll add it in. Are there specific images that won't load or is it random?

The images that I noticed in showing as little x's in boxes were some of the ember images.  You see like one or two other images but I thought I'd bring this up. Also I don't recall seeing the campground images save for the original in chrome. Chrome is nice with a lot of things but it it seems to have issues with some images on sites now and again. Another issue with chrome that is unrelated to CoC is the fact that if you play html 5 videos in it and click pause it will not continue to download the video into the buffer. It forces you to download as you watch. Firefox coincidentally allows you to start streaming a video. You can click pause and let it download the rest of the video and then unpause it. I kinda wonder if there isn't some sort of buffer limit and or cache limit in chrome that Firefox doesn't use. Either way I kinda digressed with that second half. I strongly recommend firefox for the CoC Revamp Mod images.

Could you send a screenshot of inside the couc1 folder?

Christ, i'm getting that almost everywhere nowadays. At least before on a bad internet, you could wait for it to download a decent quality. Nowadays on a bad speed, you have no chance of watching high quality without it stopping every 10 seconds, no matter how long you've left it to buffer.

Check out f4s1k1n's pic. The img folder needs to be in the same place as the CoC_version.swf file.

So do i have to go through each image and change the name of them so the game will be able to use them?

Nah. The images in the img and img_backups folder are titled correctly. Anything in the extra_Images folder though, you will have to rename yourself.

Do you have any plans/ideas for a Version 6?

I've already got quite a few more images. Probably release though until either a final CoC week finishes the official game or the Revamp mod adds more image hooks. Mainly because it's a large download, so it'd be stupid to make a version 6.5 to download that only adds a few more images. The Lethice in the official version may look different than the placeholder one in Revamp as well.

Or i guess if the HTML Edtion gets image pack support (good luck Kitteh).
