Hello, random people on the internet, I'm here to complain about things again. Occasionally I'll roll up a buttslut futa who's trying to keep her vaginal virginity while taking as many others as possible, and I always hit a certain stopgap of "this scene didn't give me the option of anal, so now I have to reload a save because my Steel didn't get the memo and jumped right on the pole". I'd just like some indicator of what hole(s) are going to be used in scenes. At least the ones I'm choosing myself because SOMETIMES a herm just wants to lose their virginity to a giant psychic dragon on an ice planet and not the chubby cat artist who approached her a day earlier.

Also, speaking of Anal, I'd really like if males with buttslut didn't get gigantic asses because my dude does NOT need an entire bakery back there when his hips and torso make him an inverted dorito.

And speaking of male bodies...I just want a the mannequin for a fat male body to have a bear shape instead of the aformentioned dorito-shape plus pregnant belly.

How the hell does our cousin catch up to us every time, if canonically we beat them to the punch at every probe?

If anal is not specified in the button or the tooltip, Always assume vaginal

They have the resources to hire "competent" mercenaries as bodyguards, so (i believe) it'd be logical they also have enough resources to gather intel about the probes and their location. Plus, it's stated in a few probe events (the one i can think at the top of my head being the Mhen'ga probe) that they already got the coordinates of the next probe, you only stopped them from taking the probe itself (though i may be missinterpreting a lot of text)

Basically what LeDoraggo said. You start the game with a maximum of 2500 credits. Your cousin's resources, however, are effectively limitless.

And that kind of money can easily buy Intel from across the fringe. And since they do get to the Mhen'ga probe first, it's not impossible they use that knowledge to somehow make educated guesses at other probe locations and buy more specific Intel.

Alternatively, it seems likely there are more probes than we will actually find in game. Perhaps your cousin finds those probes while you manage to get others.

I mean, it's possible Steele Tech sent out more probes to acount for multiple variables they couldn't forsee or prevent (probes being lost, ending up in inhospitable worlds, being stolen (like it happened at Zheng Shi station), etc), so maybe there are more probes out there we'll never hear about or find out, most likely because they're farther away from the path our Donut Steele has been going towards, since the only important probe is the one holding Vic's bank vault code

For an example. Ramis only cost like 12k and is a competent mercenary pilot and gunner.

For the Steele tech fortune, Cousin likely has a budget of nine to ten digits. They can buy and trick out the fastest ship of the highest level with the highest tweaks. They don't heavily mod themselves. Their infrastructure proactively does them a favour instead of grudgingly. The ship probably comes tweaked with Core world shit.

You only really start to overtake them cause of your involvement in planetary concerns raising your fame and getting you a direct invitation at Dhaal.

Though they don't seem to have that much money. Or have way more expenses using that money. They can't or won't make it plat or bust. They don't simply hire Dane, Feruze, and Cowgirl all at the same time with a swat team.

Maybe there are legal limits?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but cuz isn't doing this because they need to, unlike us. They're already pretty much set and squared thanks to their pops and their own machinations.

They're just doing this to pull one over on Uncle Tricky Vick and his brat.

That is wrong. You can learn their side at the beginning of the train dungeon (I'm assuming you have to be on friendly terms with her for the conversation to happen, not sure on that requirement)

There are no requirements to ask about the Rival's motivation. To Flirt, you need to have danced at the Dhaal party and chosen 'Rescue' at the Farrow Facility.

Uncle Max has told his children to claim Victor's probes, or else he'll disinherit them. The non-Rival twin decided to get a 'real' job instead of trying to screw you over.

The Rival seems to have a large, but not unlimited, budget.
1. They have a ship that's larger than yours and a pilot (may or may not also be their current Mercenary).
2. They don't mod themselves extensively, but the Lynx ears and tail seem to be a custom job.
3. They try to buy the Probe from Shekka, but do seem to have a price limit.
4. Johanna claims she's the last Mercenary the Rival can hire because of bad reviews as an employer. Probably doesn't just hire more than one at a time because the Rival is both extremely arrogant and a jackass. And possibly because it's harder to travel with a large party than a small one.
And maybe security concerns: "One has my personal, encrypted key. With that, you can open my deposit box in the bank I own on this station and take control of my company."
Is there anything preventing a hired mercenary turning on the Rival (or you) and taking the key?

As for how they keep getting ahead of you:
Mhen'ga: They trick you by leaving earlier than they implied they would, because they have a pilot and you don't. They also sabotaged your ship, so you have to deal with FIRST before making it to Mhen'ga. No matter what, they get the coordinates before you do and fly off. You have to walk back through the Jungle.

Tarkus: You have to deal with the Stellar Tether, which turns out to be completely unrelated. Also "It shouldn’t be hard for a woman of my resources to keep track of a gnat like you, after all."
I expect this line explains a lot.

Myrellion: The SteeleTech Probe is rather close to a MaxCorp probe. If the planet gets nuked because of your actions during Kara's quest, Dane sends you the next set of coordinates.

Zheng Shi: You spend some time scanning the system. The 'password' is an attitude check. The Rival may have gotten the answer from Feruze or came by it naturally. Or shot their way in, like you can. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rival is the reason the elevator is broken.

Dhaal: Somehow managed to finagle their way into the party in the serving staff while you were getting an official invitation. Hired a spy (who you get information from later).

That's assuming you beeline toward each Probe and don't stop to do any sidequests along the way.
Canonically, most of the time spent travelling between planets is waiting in line for the Gates. I expect the Rival does a lot of bribing to get to skip ahead.
Having a pilot possibly means the Rival can be more productive than you are while travelling.
Paige reduces travel times by 25%. It's entirely possible the Rival has someone similar on staff. And while you spend a week recruiting Paige, the Rival can spend that week doing research for the next Probe.
