For the most part it's strictly a part of the Champ's parsed appearance and gets called up whenever the appropriate part of their description is. There are parsers for these things so if someone wants to write a scene that specifically calls attention to it they can, but it's not something that happens by itself and they're not detailed when it comes to what you've had done to your Champ. For instance, the parsers that check for various tattoos by location don't have detailing to return different output if you have a sexy vs nonsexy tattoo and the nail polish one doesn't have variations for specific colors.
