It's honestly just part of the adventure some times, I can't say I've managed to have outright terrible luck unless its in the Amara boss fight where 7/10 times i'll get stunned and dragged through to dirt like a bitch just starting the fight, unless I survive or manage to not be stunned then there's a good chance I come out on top, considering it's a boss fight though makes it fine to me at least.

If you attempting to beat her down, which will provoke her stunlock of death when her shields go down, You are fighting her wrong. (You should tease her to victory)

The only class that can consistently bag her is a level 9 melee mercenary, or at least a merc with power strike and sunder.

Oh I don't do that I throw everything and the kitchen sink at her after getting her shields down and sadly teasing isn't the best skill my ranged tech has, he's more of a fighter than a lover at least when the need arises, but I guess if I'm getting his physique up training with Mirrin I can go train against some wild life...

Amara is hard, but not that hard. As long as you can avoid stunlock you can beat her with 0 tease or a decent build. I got her as a melee Tech, before Charge Weapon was added.
