Kinu knew it would be bad when her father was leaving town on a trip for 10 days and the fact that after 6 days in Kiyoko left Aya of all kitsunes in charge, but as she walked into her mother's bedroom it seemed that it was significantly worse than she predicted. She looked upon her mother, ordinarily regal and unflappable, currently scurrying like a wild animal with her normal lustrous hair matted like straw. Worse yet was that her mother decided to carry a stone strapped to her body again.

Kiyoko swiveled, staring at her daughter with bloodshot eyes and a manic plastered on grin, "Hi, Kinu. I didn't hear you come in. I was just," Kiyoko touched the straps of leather that she was frantically working on yet in no proper state of mind to actually do anything, "working on a project."
Kinu facepalmed, "Dad specifically impregnated you so that you wouldn't get baby crazy during his journey, buy you had to keep going and push out that kit early. I dare not imagine what you would be like in menopause."
