Like I said, I've tried finding people to do it!

When we started there were a bunch of people who were super into corruption who were involved in the game's design phase, and then all just disappeared!
I kinda doubt that, considering I talked to a few writers who submitted their corruption content up here. You've also said you don't like it, so I cant really take your word for it man. Sorry, but I gotta say that's either a pretty bold lie, or you're not looking hard.

Not being rude, just keeping it 100.

Didn't that crash and burn because the creator groomed minors? Not sure I see the resemblance here
It crashed and burned not only because of that, but because it was a crud load of spaghetti code, still in alpha for years, and the creator was outright hostile towards those trying to give criticism and stuff. I didn't accuse Savin of grooming, hell no. I just find it fairly odd that he doesn’t want mods, removing core aspects (Corruption), and banning anyone who talks about mods. Like it or not, he gotta be critiqued.

I don't think the issue was mods so much as it was the site they come from, which is full of pirated stuff. Plus disapproving of mods isn't being hostile towards critics anyway

So people telling Savin to cool down on Futadom and futa content in general isn't constructive criticism? And for savin to say "Don't like it? Kick rocks"?

Don't get me wrong, I respect savin, but he can sometimes be a bit much.

Edit: Probably not Yandere sim, But Berwyn content.

I don't think it actually is constructive criticism based on how inaccurate a lot of the complaints end up being e.g. the fact that most girls in the game don't have dicks needs to be brought up at least once a year in this thread as people keep claiming otherwise. Also there's a pretty big gap between constructive criticism and "you shouldn't put content I don't like in the game"

All im sayin is that he could just slow down on futa content, and focus on unfinished quest (In Her Footsteps is one example)

He is literally working on the main quest and has been for some time
Like I said I’m dotting my Ts and crossing my Is on the next MSQ dungeon - from the most recent update notes
plus I'm almost certain that the majority of the futa content comes form other creators

Its the games main quest? It'll finish when we beat kasyrra, so at the end of the game
That's his main fetish, so I doubt that man.
Its hard to get exact numbers as the wiki isn't completely up to date but i think the creator with the most futa stuff is probably wsan

Also, how long is the "In Her Footsteps" quest? It's been incomplete for years. Before I even got into the game.

Somethings off.

What do you not understand about it being the main quest? When "In Her Footsteps" ends, the game ends.

It can be a long ass quest for all I care, it's just that it being stuck in the same place for years is starting to stir some concern. Updates about progress with in her footsteps would be appreciated. But as it stands, I ain't defending that barren unfinished quest.

In Her Footsteps ends at Palace of Ice now. That change was made a few patches ago, specifically because enough people were unable to grok that there were multiple concurrent Main Story Quests going at once.

The Siege of Khor'minos is and has been the MSQ ever since Palace of Ice ended.

The intent was for the end of SoKM to give the next step of In Her Footsteps, which has been changed such that it will simply give you a new follow-up once it is concluded (which will be soon, since I'm in the processes of wrapping up post-quest world changes).

Seriously what part of 'main quest' are you not understanding here? When its finished, so is the game
Bruh. I mean at least add something and not to finish it in one fell swoop. I find not doing so lazy, since they're focused on different content.

edit: Nevermind. I'll watch from afar for now

B is referencing something else...

The stance about mods was known from very early builds - that is, no mods. It's not about critique but about how low quality and what content was added to CoC1, and to avoid problems with Patreon back when they started to sanitize everything.
Huh, wasn't aware of that and while it is a bit of a shame, I ain't too surprised. Though that does make me curious if/what Savin and Co's backup plan is if Patreon shuts them down anyway seeing how things flared up earlier this year.

SubscribeStar. It's not quite as feature-rich as Patreon is for creators but on a fundamental, functional level it works better and isn't beholden to a bunch of venture capital dipsticks.

Regardless

I understand the removal but this makes two times when content has been removed because of complainers and then people have expressed surprise that there were fans of the content removed. We've all been on the internet long enough to know that:
1. peoples' bad reaction to stuff will lead to a greater likelihood of a response than a positive reaction
2. negativity will always be more easily perceived & remembered than positivity

If something exists and I like it I'm less likely to speak about it than if it exists and I don't like it. The idea that "more people complained than complimented" is a poor basis in general. If there's a pothole on my way to work which I complain about that also doesn't mean that the solution is to remove the road, what was there was fine enough, there wasn't/ isn't a ton of content in the corrupt or pure hive.

Side note, the dual meta reasons for the removal of the content being bad:
1. Without an option to be good or evil, either route itself loses meaning. Not many people kill all the teiflings in baldurs gate 3 act 1 but the fact its presented as a real option still matters and improves the game for those who never do.
2. If there isn't an option to be villainous in some parts of the game and we can only be good then presenting the chance to be corrupt elsewhere becomes less likely and weirdly out of character too. Why did would my character save the hive from corruption but not the centaurs?

Regardless, it doesn't really matter anymore, the surprise at the response is what seems naive to me, particularly as this is hardly the 1st time round. I would say that the content previously included in the corrupt hive (bimbo Azzy & Liaden ect) should probably be made public in a doc or cheat code-able access at least for those who did care.

Sincere query btw since the end game cleanup is going on - will we be seeing a removal of that CaitQuest gnoll spellblade from the church in the near future? Easily the worst "not yet implemented" in the game and just gets left alone somehow.

Finally, fully unrelated, a pair of actual gripes.
  • Jstar said they'd include a paw print tattoo for beating the know cave, tbh I don't know if that did get implemented (somehow I keep getting stuck at the old wolfman... maybe I shouldn't always drink his potion?) but if it did surely that means we should also unlock a horseshoe tattoo for completing the big quest in Harvest Valley? Or am I double dumb and both of those are implemented but I haven't noticed them?
  • I don't need my game to be interrupted to be told that my hair has grown. Please can this either be removed or maybe added to the bottom of whatever room description I am currently in. I can't imagine a scenario where my hair growing a fraction of an inch is ever relevant to me.

There's actually a document in the review queue giving her content! I got about a quarter of the way through reading it before I had to double down and grind on the MSQ, but it's from MagentaNeedle so I don't expect it'll have any major issues.

Those are two completely different projects by two completely different writers. Jstar wanting to add a paw tattoo has nothing to do with Gardeford and any future plans he has for horse content.

For the record I do agree with you, but an easy solution to this that already exists is to just lock your hair growth at whatever length you want using the stylists. No hair growth = no hair growth messages.
