Wouldn't it make more sense for snake byte to be a perk

And it can be obtained from multiple sources (so far, SnakeByte itself and from making a certain choice in Po's VR adventure). Some scenes are set up to specifically mention Steele having used SnakeByte, even though it's possible that's not how they got its effects. Making those effects a perk means that Steele can retain all the benefits, and the flag that is currently used to indicate whether or not Steele has those effects can be repurposed for determining if they've used SnakeByte specifically.

I was actually thinking about this earlier. If this isn't a thing by the next public patch I'll probably make a pull request for it. The only reason I wouldn't do it now is because one of the KQ Twins' scenes gives you Snakebyte as well, and I can't really make a PR editing a file that's in the private repo

Luca's training also gives this effect if you reach 50 addiction.

you must be thinking of (canDeepthroat).

I guess I should make sure we're all on the same page here.

SnakeByte not only enables deepthroat (because no gag reflex), but it also gives you an erogenous throat (so oral orgasms) and a ribbed throat.

There are a few sources of simply being able to deepthroat without gagging.

Are you certain about this? The VR adventure literally gives you SnakeByte, so the scenes should still be accurate.

It would be nice having SB as a Perk. There have been one or two oral scenes where no mention was made of Steele having an erogenous, ribbed throat. I had to use the save editor and give myself another dose just to be sure I still had the benefits. If it was an actual Perk, I could have looked it up in the "Character Perk" tab. More oral scenes might also make mention of it.

Since it wasn't explicitly stated in-game, I wasn't aware that what Steele is injected with in that scene was SnakeByte specifically and not something else with the same or similar effects, and I doubt Steele would know that either. In that case, mentioning Steele having used SnakeByte is technically inaccurate since the game is from Steele's perspective; if they don't know that they've been injected with SnakeByte, it shouldn't come up in the game's text, especially if it's Steele's thoughts or dialogue. They might not even know SnakeByte exists, which would make mentioning it even weirder.

No, can deepthroat is gained at 25 addiction. At 50 you gain the effect Oral fixation that is the same effect Snakebyte gives you. Unless the wiki is wrong.

Guys, Luca's training only gives you deepthroating effects in her scenes, nowhere else

re: the former of course it's SnakeByte because what else would it be. Fair point on the latter though.
