Wondering why CoC 2 is on steam when you can get it for free

So i was just looking steam when i came across CoC 2 for $7.19 and was wondering if this was a real or someone who is backing is selling it on?

And it auto-updates whenever there's a public release instead of requiring a redownload once a month for people playing that way, and it's got trophies. Basically it's another way to get the game that offers convenience and some extra goodies in return for a small one-time payment. Raises the profile of the game too, of course.

Steam is the version I play on exclusively, now. I'm WAY too fucking lazy for this 1990s bullshit of downloading a new patch every week.

I bought it was well when it was $10-something. I like the automatic updating Steam will do.

And it is my small way of supporting the project that continues to get regular updates. And has supplied me with a lot of entertainment during this wacky year of ours.
