Winter Wolf camp battle not ending?

I've defeated enough cultists that they're going into lowercase, but the battle isn't ending. Am I supposed to lose, or is it really just this long? (Party has Cait+Brint, MC is a Black Mage w/ Earthward, Jade Flame, Leaping Bolts, Vitality Reap, and Banishment. Brint got knocked out a while back but I think Cait and MC could continue this fight indefinitely, as I haven't come close to death even once.)

Fleeing ended the battle just fine, however the battle might need a cap for how many things you kill before it ends?

It's supposed to be like that, having no cap to how many you fight. People have made a game out of how long they last and seeing if the game runs outta letters for the cultists. You'll see things like greek, Roman, even different fonts if you go long enough.

Gweyr does tell you that you're there to buy time.

To get the maximum reward from the battle - to buy her the time she actually needs - you only need to defeat, like, eleven of the cultists before fleeing.

Dunno why anyone bothers fighting the enemies, choose the other option, count to 5 3 and lob a holy hand grenade of antioch. Boom.

Because newbies to the game might not have found what they need for that yet. I know I hadn't when I went through that on my first playthrough.

Is the 'Thwarting Master Tollus' fight supposed to have an end?

I've definitely gone through over 100 cultists at this point and now they just spawn with a box next to their name. Is the fight meant to be this long? When does it end?

I preferred it from a RP perspective of using three people for a distraction over just one. Though it clearly tells you to run away from the fight if you read it, so I left after it started using symbols after Z. I would have fled sooner if I knew I only needed to kill eleven.

Ya, remember it is a porn game and a lot of people (myself included) didn't read it and fought the whole alphabet and then some. I think I just said screw it and ran away and figured out that was the right thing, or I just looked it up. Luckily the wiki for this game is pretty spot on.
