To be fair the shock bow is one of the best weapons for a melee build due to its built in stun chance and likely the best for melee tech for Merc its likely a vampire weapon.
The damage and chance to stun are incredibly low, especiially without Second Shot, and I literally only use it to shoot Gel Zon's jetpack and tag bees. It's only there because I like bows and electric attacks.

I did find out that the Hirudo is a fantastic weapon for Smugglers, at least if they're specced for ranged weapons. It probably works well enough if they're not.

pretty sure the stun chance is the same as it is for every weapon that has it 25%. At least I remember that number coming up somewhere going to go see if I can find it in the public code,

OK looked all over the code I couldn't find a number anywhere, but every weapon that has stun chance uses the exact same text, meaning it should all be linking back to the same variable thus all weapons that can stun should stun at the same rate.

Yeah I am well aware that the gear that you can get from Akane is some of the best in the game but I’m not too keen on getting whipped M’kay, it’s just not my thing!
Nice thing about TiTs, you don't have to.
Thankfully there is always an option.
Personally i can't wait for power armor that doesn't have the consequence of completetly removing roz as she's an interesting character.
Just wish she'd be friendly after a bit

Is the Painslut perk even really helpful? I feel like it would only make you lose faster, and Techs and Smugglers tend to not take HP damage anyway.

It really is. A bit of energy doesnt seem that much but with a high energy class like the tech it can mean the difference between an extra paralyzing shock which means you can essentially trade hp for much tankier shields as a shield tech.
It fits hugely with petras whip on a melee shield tech which can be ridiculous

I don't understand how the Tech is e energy-intensive or how the perk helps Techs. The only time I consume a lot of energy is when I fight Quadommes because I Gravidic Disruptor them ~3 times. And, as far as I know, the perk only activates when you take HP damage, which again only happens against certain enemies that attack through shields like the Quadommes. Even with the Phasic Whip I didn't take enough damage to drop my shields.
