Hey there everyone, in the interest of showing the support for the game hasn't faded and to just babble on about what we like: What is it about FoE that you all like? For me, I like that the characters are enjoyable to interact with even if some of them have limited interactions, flexible job/class changing abilities, and all in all it feels like a game that lets you explore it and rewards you for it....and the sex is generally hot and I look forward to much pregifying of the lovely ladies.

I like it for having party system, for Terry and all this premise of dragon ladies that could someday join team. And for Drake that it makes me wanna grind till I can beat him ^^

Ohh right also sex scenes for equine pair ^^

I like the fact that we have a party system and the party can participate in the sex scenes :)

While TiTS is much more fleshed out as a game, FoE is much more enjoyable in a characters department.

I love the diversity and the more balanced and normal proportion between m/m and m/f - f/f - ?/? content

FoE is by far my favorite game in this genre, but why? So I had a think and realized thinking was the wrong approach, its about a feeling. FoE just feels right and so I will try and list the things I believe make it feel that way.

  • The milieu is intuitively understood, it is familiar enough that you know how things work and most of the inhabitants can easily be pictured.
  • It is plot driven
  • I love its big tent approach, having writers that aren't exclusively hetero cis-males helps. After all sexy is an attitude, not just a large rack with optional hyper-futa-ing
  • The fact that most characters don't care what your max damage is they are still willing to say no to you and expect you to accept it [the way Vena deals with the aftermath of her husband's over throw is a personal favorite]
  • NPC who have depth, certainly not everyone is fleshed out, but no-one appears to be just a plot device. Most people are definitely shades of grey
  • General quality of the writing, yes there are place holders, but nothing feels  "It'll do for now".
  • Even the party dynamic feels right to me. If you care for someone you want to be by their side when they face mortal peril https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yG8caPPY1Y not being there would be very painful.

In addition to what's already been said, I also like the game because of the story. I'm actually interested in what's going to happen next and I care about the characters to a degree.

Hell
Terry hands down. I don't like MtF but the way he is written gives me good feelings every time I get him.

Also this.

Class system!

Most porn games seem to force you to always be a warrior or melee based. I'm an Arcane/Priest/Shaman at heart and hate when I can't find a way around the rules and simply depend on casting. I like how fall doesn't force me to pick up a melee weapon and play that way throughout the game.

I enjoy the party and class-systems, the party members and their interactions, the learning magic flavour text, and more than the sex scenes- I just really enjoy the story.

I enjoy the fact you make your TF items, the fact the characters are quite individual and developed nicely, and the fact i can start with a clit cock.

Mission successful! Really appreciate all the support for the game and the variety of answers given here. Looks like a lot of love has been garnered by the characters, approach to world building, party system, and especially the story. That these as well as others really show that FoE really succeeded in it aim to be an engrossing text-based adventure.

Another thing I like was mentioned here.

Class system!

This sums up a lot of issues that many other smut/hentai games have...limited character choices. Even texted based ones often suffer from this, but FoE legitimately rewards and encourages the player to keep playing as different classes and to learn their abilities. This allows for immensely flexible gameplay and tactical adaptation. A good example of how this pays off is Lagon...holy crap is that little tyrant a PIA to face if you've specialized. But, if you spend just a bit more time to not only flesh out the MC's repertoire, but also that of the available companions, Lagon becomes an enjoyable challenge.

What I love? Oh, a lot.

- It's story-driven, and the plot seems to try to get somewhere, instead of being a sandbox to put sex scenes in.

- The writing is genuinely good, much better than I expected from the smut RPG genre.

- Good balance between male, female and herm characters, including lots of m/m. It's not a vulgar, dull gathering of big-tittied horse-dicked shemales like most other games out there.

- Genuinely well written, interesting and LIKEABLE characters and companions with a surprising amount of depth. Unlike other games in the genre, they seem to be designed as characters first, and sex partners later, not the other way around.

- It's the same for the overall world and tone: It feels like a great fantasy adventure that happens to have lots of sex rather than an ordinary sex game.

- Lots of follower interactions.

- Quests and interesting dungeons that aren't afraid to replace regular gameplay with something unique.

- Party system, class system, combat system. They need some tweaking but, if done right, they can result in really damn good RPG gameplay. It's great to be able to mix and match roles between characters to see what works best.

- Party system gives the prospect of group sex with/between enemies, followers and voyeurism, and that's awesome.

- Mpreg!

- Terry! He's so lovable and well written... And bisexual <3 Yay for m/m romance!

- Terry can become a cuntboy, bonus points for that.

There's quite a bit to enjoy about FoE. I feel invested in the story, I really enjoy the party system, and that you can enjoy the sex scenes regardless of minimum lust.

The writing is really good, not just for a smut game either. The plot is interesting, the characters are surprisingly deep and complex, not to mention that backstory of the game is very well fleshed out.

The game mechanics are pretty neat. You can do a lot of cool mix and matching with skills. Can't forget about the sub/dom mechanic either.

This game resonates with me a lot more than TiTs or CoC. I cannot wait until the next update.

In no particular order:

*The strange mix of high and low fantasy and the worldbuilding in general, although sometimes interacting with the certain elements of exposition back to back with sex can result in a serious mood whiplash. E.g.: Talking to Aquilus killed my boner for a good long while.

*The 'Jack Random's Road to Greatness' feel, PC has to earn every bit of goodwill and fortune with hard work. Though in some instances I felt that the game took putting PC in their place a bit too far.

*Characters, both big and small was pretty memorable and interesting. The major ones left me hungry for a lot more because of how much content their current interactions and the scope of the story hinted at, but I guess that's not a bad thing.

Ah. Well, yes. That is a boner-killer in several different ways, considering the delivery, content, and the character.

I can see where you're coming from.

Actually, Aquilius' attitude and personality, combined with his profession made him grade A boning material in my eyes. Vahn is also a great dude with a similar tonal shift in his content. He even has a sex scene, but the way that scene proceeds (regardless of which option options you choose) leaves a pretty mixed aftertaste, and it seems that we won't be able to help him in any meaningful way for a good long while, if such content had been planned at all. Things like that are what I was talking about in my third point.

LD and I had discussed a scene where Terry pretends to be his fiancee for a bit of roleplay, and some of it even got written, but it'll probably never see the light of day.

Aquilius' boner-killer talk about the civil war was one of the moments when the game was better than I ever expected it to be. It was a damn rich, dark and gritty worldbuilding moment for a porn game, and it really added weight and depth that I never expected it to have. The adventures (especialy sexual ones) seem so much better when you're having them with characters that seem to be actual people, and not just talking sex toys.

If you wanna go through with it, all you gotta do is say it. Though it would call for a little more expnding on Vahn's character since this is going to bring consequences to the table.
