Why it is so hard to get some TFs?

I'm trying to get Raskvell Ears, but it is a lot harder than every other Raskvell transformation. It is so rare I only got it once in like 5 hours of trying, I don't know if that is the case with other tainted TF items but I suspect it is. So, why is that?

Because the RND is against you?
Just save before taking the item. If you get the ears, great. If you don't just reload the save.

It's not that rare. You have a 1/4 chance of getting ears when you take the Ruskvel. Like Evil said, save before you take it. Or, you could always save edit if the Dice Gods really do hate you.

I have been doing exactly that. Paradox01 mentioned it has a 1/4 chance, I have a hard time believing that.
So far I have like 5 ~ 6 Steeles where I tried getting rask transformation, usually I spend about 1 hour reloading the save each time I try a TF after that I either got it or give up. With Rask Ears I was so unlucky I was convinced Ruskvell wasn't a Ears TF until I got it. Once. It was the one and only time, after that I try on other Steele without success( a full blown Saurmorian). I spent 5 hours reloading the same save trying to get RE on him, the odds of getting so unlucky would be minimal if it really was a 1/4 chance.

Ah, the Gambler's Fallacy. Always a classic. In short, you always have a 1/6 chance of rolling a 6 on a D6. Doesn't matter if you roll once or a hundred times.

Still frustrating, though. I try giving chance a chance, but sometimes chance needs a swift kick in the ass instead. Enter the save editor.

EDIT: Also, have you checked to make sure you meet the prerequisites for ears?
  • No fur
  • No muzzled or angular face
  • Non-raskvel ears

How do I save edit?

The muzzled may be the problem then, I usually take Shark bites for the shark face or in one case the Holliday Saurmorian 'costume'

That isn't exactly the case. Take your dice example, we are not talking about the probability of rolling a 6 but of rolling a 6 at least once in up to 100 rolls. The chance of getting a 6 once in X number of rolls is:
First roll : 1/6
Second roll: (1-1/6)*1/6 -> the 1-1/6 is the case you haven't roll 6 on the first time.

The total amount for X rolls would be:
(1/6) + (1/6)*(1- 1/6) + (1/6)*[(1-1/6)^2] + ....+ (1/6)*[(1-1/6)^(X-1)]

You can toss it on google and check the value for 100, the point is it is way more then 1/6

Save Editor
It's a pretty intuitive Graphic interface. The primary version requires Windows. There's a Linux version, but it's very behind on features. If you play on mobile, you can transfer your save over to a Windows computer and back. As a last resort, you can put a save file up on the Forum and ask someone to make the changes for you.

For Raskvel Ears, you'll have to set the flags and length yourself.
Length: Between (Your height * 0.75) and (Height * 3). Height is in Inches.
Flags: Long, Floppy.

I do use Linux(PC), so far I have been playing on browser but I'm considering installing a Virtual Machine to play TITs.
I got Raskvell Ears by the way, turn out the muzzle was what was keeping me from getting the TF. So, thanks to Paradox01 for pointing that out

No problem, glad to hear it was an easy fix. :)

For future reference, the wiki has entries for all TFs, including prerequisites for specific transformations. Check the Ruskvel entry as an example.

Can you expand on this?
The save format for the Android version is identical to the Browser version.
Therefore, if you have a computer that can run the Save Editor, you can connect your phone via USB cable, or email yourself the Save file, Edit it, then transfer it back.
