Why is this closed? I remember in previous builts that it wasn't closed but now it is, is there a way to pass now?

Yeah, but I fought her before this happens, what's the orb name?

There's supposed to be a 'Pipe' blocking the Elevator to force you to go through the Foundry. It could then be removed from the other side once you got to the Scaffolding to provide a shortcut.
In previous builds, it was intangible, but it recently got fixed. The room link seems to be one-way in the current build (Scaffolding to Elevator). Probably a bug.
