Why are fen games so obsessed with child care and family?

One thing I always wondered while playing a Fen game is the hyperfocus on taking care of children and domestic pursuits. These are things I rarely, if ever, see in a porn game or porn in general. This game in particular seems to have the most moments where you just sit and raise children you created, or have these tender family moments with certain NPCs. The game also has Garth dealing with his family drama and being a father, with all the stress and anxiety that goes along with it. Hell, the goal of a major antagonist is to be a parent herself! I always wondered why this game, including the other two, has such strong family and domestic themes between all the non-stop fucking. Is it because the authors themselves are parents and their own experiences of raising a child and a family bleed out into their work? Or is there a high demand for this type of stuff from the fan base? Or is it just a little bit of both? I don't have children myself, but I wonder how many users here are parents or yearn to be parents one day.

I am definitely not someone who enjoys these contents. Breeding, pregnacy and family rearing are not my kinks, and I loathe the family dog/Kinu drama. The "uwu so wholesome" moments are okay, I assume.
P.S. CoC2 is not a "Fen game" per se.

There's also the fact that the games aren't so unrealistic that proper pregnancies can't simply be handwaved away, and resulting in children to raise is the only end state that doesn't inherently invite controversy - so the only real options are "no-one gets pregnant" and "someone has to raise the kids". The former would be rather unpopular with the fanbase (people are pretty much always requesting more pregnancy content), so the latter is the better option - and since a lot of players would rather not be deadbeat parents, that naturally results in content where the PC has at least some involvement in raising the kids.
