I like to know what you guys listen to, I need some more music to listen to. I prefer atmospheric background music myself because there are no lyrics, this helps because I wont lose my place while reading. I mainly listen to a few game and movie soundtracks, instrumentals, and some songs without lyrics.

It never came to mind to try listening to any music while playing CoC or TiTS. I do enjoy listening to instrumental music while writing, however. I setup a playlist of epic instrumental music, soundtracks from my favorite games, and some electronic stuff from bands like Anamanaguchi. I like music with high energy to help keep me focused on my work.

I can't really say I'd listen to the same playlist however while playing these games though. I'd feel there would be too much of a contrast. I think I'd rather setup a playlist of soft instrumental pieces for Corruption of Champions, maybe something with a medieval vibe to it. I'd think it would help immerse myself in the world more.

I can get that, for me CoC is both a game and porn (especially with the picture pack). I get bored reading in the quiet, and unaroused in the silence. I dunno I might just be weird, depending on my mood i have different styles of music playing.

Depends on the type of role I'm playing. Sometimes I'll listen to the MGQ soundtrack. Sometimes, Sengoku Rance. Other times, just a variety of chiptune in my folder labeled "Jam".
Or I just listen to the Kamen Rider Kiva soundtrack. Damn that's good stuff.

Reading on non-native language requires too much focus to handle extra input at the same time. So only if something ambient.

I just listen to Saint Vincent or Angles and Airwaves. They both have core instrumental songs that make it easy to focus on the game and they're both pretty fucking dope

I don't really listen to music when I'm playing either CoC or TiTS... But I'd think a lot of SNES soundtracks would work wonders for CoC. (Actraiser, Final Fantasy 2/3, EVO... that kinda stuff)

I usually fire up Pandora and go with a Celtic station based off of Corvus Corax.  I've heard pretty much everything Pandora throws into that station a million times each over the years by now, so songs with lyrics are still nothing more than ambience for me.
