I'm mainly a warrior but since acquiring the Dream Plate I use fireball with shatter, fireball replaced cleave and learned Duelist Stance from Garth. What does that make me now?

I'm AoE.

My answer is yes.

Different PCs, different styles, different weapons for all.

Well not quite an answer but true. Love your profile pic and the reason behind your name.

I hit people until they fall down.
Sometimes with a sword, sometimes with a fist.
My main strategy too along with many other games. Shoot it till it stops moving.

My Thieves generally sneak-attack things with sharp pointy objects, though my female one will sometimes throw in Estrus Flask or shake her ass at the enemy. My Noble Scion Warrior is a paladin-type (Charge Weapon and Smite Evil, Power Wave) who refuses to use Tease for RP reasons, my cowgirl Warrior goes for Cleave and such, my Charmer lust-nukes things supplemented with Girthy Rod tentacles, my Black Mage should really be called a Blue Mage because she's built around Mirror Magic (when in doubt she falls back on Greaseball) and my White Mage is an old-school FF-style one so he's got archery skills for offense plus his support magic.

I don't ever redistribute Elena's stats - she's high-Agility, high-Cunning, and high-Willpower - but I do rearrange her skills a lot. I mostly play her as a glue girl, switching to whatever role the team needs based on whatever companions I have. Mostly she goes full damage with a mix of single-target and AoE damage spells; sometimes I swap in Great Heal and another healing ability if the rest of the team is all-offense. And on other occasions, I boon her up with Toughness, swap in Mirror Magic, a shield, and the Metal Wand, and have her mirror tank.

I hit things until they die. Cleave and bull rush are my main powers. I swap out unbreakable and assassinate depending on the situation and swap between lightning fist and overbear but favor the fistening. Unfortunately there's really no good at-will power available for damage focused warriors so that slot is just a placeholder for now. I usually go with strength, toughness, and agility so I can actually hit things and hit them hard while still taking hits. I do cheat with the save editor sometimes, but only after hitting the cap because of how it's set up differently from titsed so I still prioritize those 3 stats. I use the swift sword mainly since the spiral blade can't have it's element locked. Because I use a human noble warrior, all stats get some kind of boost on level up so even playing legitimately let's me use spells for ghosts as long as I have a catalyst like the spiral staff. I tried to model her with Byleth from three houses in mind, at least in combat.

My thief is Range/melee(via dual wield), mix of aoe and single target powers, will take summons and duelist stance for when I want to challenge/test endless encounters. My Charmer though is fully aoe damage because I have not found a good single target power that my pc can actually use as a replacement for teasing. And my mage is also fully aoe with both supportive and damaging powers, my companions will usually provide the single target damage for me.

My Black Mage build is mainly fire-based, using Grease (Recharge 1) to set up massive damage with Fireball (Recharge 2) and the Fire Dancer (Encounter). If I decide to make my Black Mage a kitsune, she'll also have Foxfire (At-Will) and kitsunetsuki (Ultimate); otherwise, she'll have Banishment and Withering Bolt unless she decides to learn either Fire Bolt or Magic Missile. Her primary weapon is a Metal Wand, with either a Fox Jewel to gain access to kitsunetsuki or another off-hand Catalyst with high Spellpower and Spell Penetration.

My Thief build is range-focused, with Crowd Control (Recharge 1) for AoE damage and Sure Shot (Recharge 2), Dastardly Trick (Encounter) and Assassinate (Ultimate) for single-target damage, though she might pick up Triple Threat if Accuracy seems to be a non-issue. Her At-Will is either Blue Flame Blade (for fire damage + burn on crit) if she's a kitsune, or Equanimity (bigger crits) otherwise, and her weapon is the Bessy Mauler.

In both cases, her preferred companions are either Cait or Etheryn for healing, plus the other, Azyrran or Kiyoko for more damage.

All my characters usually end up being different; eldritch knights, black mage, paladins. I like to mix it up with each playthrough. Makes the game more fun.

I'm really trying to get a monk run through I'm just trying to make the other characters all work first

Tanky, heavy armor characters are my go-to standard for the fantasy genre. Usually they're an axe-and-board type so I get a balance of defensive power and raw axe damage, though if the game is the type where Rocket Tag is the standard, I'd forgo the shield and go for a bigger axe.

Funnily enough, it's not impossible to play as a strength based range character here, and I've been dabbling with using the Bessy Mauler as my go to big-damage two-handed weapon thanks to it's six nasty 60 armor penetration.

My main champios goes two handed with a Captain´s Greatsword. As powers I use equanimity, steady strike, cleave and bull rush.

AoE mage works well with arc and fireball as most enemies will be multiples.
AoE melee works but not as well for some reason
AoE anti-willpower works extremely well (against enemies that have willpower, dont remember if there are any who dont)

I don't really use single-target personally, other than my buffer/healer character.

I am a simple man of simple means. A 2h warrior using Griefmaker(trying to find a better 2h atm) with equanimity, cleave, steady strike, dastardly trick, and assassinate. I want to deal good damage and reliably alive while doing so.

For my PC I pretty much always use weapon and shield. I want more interesting unique one handed weapons with like a quest or some lore for them. So far there is just the Sanctified Gladius I believe. That is a great weapon but if you don't use spellpower it does not really work. Unique spear would be cool and fit the bronze age theme. More shields would be nice but the Shield of Brawn is perfect for what I want already.

That is already pretty much the best weapon. Some other options are like sidegrades. That has tons of armor pen, gives focus, and deals 45 mixed damage. There are some weapons that deal 50 damage but they don't have nearly as much armor pen. If you are fighting frost enemies which are quite common in a few areas other weapons are probably better. If you have crit, Swift Sword is the best. Focus is really good though and I don't think any other weapon has that.

For my black mage, I tend to go either with AoE and summons, or singular target powers(mostly for bosses).

My paladin usually plays one of two ways, tank with tower shield, lots of defense powers and celestial smite. Or 2h (spiral blade/griefmaker) and AoE powers.

Bumfuck, Nowhere
Usually go Agility and Cunning-focused Warrior or Thief and go full Crit Dodge Build. Combined with Silver Mask and Intuition/Equanimity, and I am 4 parallel universes ahead of everyone the Seven's personal bitch-slapper.

Here's how most fights generally go, in the form of a brief retelling from my Champion's shenanigans during Arona's quest:

"Ilonus, you can't take all those orcs on by yourself, there are so many of th--"

[smash cut to me after a half-second of an utter cacophany of noise, standing in the exact same spot in the orc tavern, surrounded by bodies]

"Come again? I didn't hear what you said." I say completely casually, turning on the spot to face my party. Instead of a response to my query, I am met with the utterly nonplussed gazes of my companions. After returning their stares with an expression of confusion, I notice these sentiments are also echoed by the many collared and/or scantily clad slaves nearby.

"H-how did.. d-did you... how... wh-whaa?" comes the general reply.

"What's wrong?" I ask, genuinely confused as to the sudden mood emanating about the party.

[beat, punctuated by one among the orc patrons trying to rise, collapsing again with a thud]

"Seriously, why are you all looking at me like that?"

[beat]

[distant wheezing laughter, probably from Keros]

Typically BlindBeauty, then Cleave, maybe with a Charge Weapon between, then ThunderStrike anything still standing.

My main is an archer with off-tease damage. I have a secondary "black knight." Got a sword and shield warrior with some light AoE magic.
