Is there a lore reason for why certain TFs(Illumorpheme comes to mind) can't be used anywhere and must exclusively be used on ones ship?

You're doing drugs, basically. Not only is it ilegal to do it in public in many places, but it also dampens your mental faculties, meaning anyone or anything could take advantage of you
