I do, the problem is only the first and second highest options are available for that and with the update the Myr Venom perk gives +4 to the my racial score which shoves down my Dragon score to the third highest option. So now the Dragon species can't be selected to be forced through. That's why I think having the top 10 highest racial scores being available to force through would offer players some more flexibility. You know you can force the game to identify yourself as a certain species (as long as you have enough score on them) in the preference section in the appearance screen, right?
no problem, I ended up having it be a bit wordy.Oh, i see. I had misunderstood your last post, sorry
I can see that, I would imagine that would be something they'll change over time as they have been doing just like with the Myr Venom perk. Regardless, if they would just let the player choose what they want to identify as regardless of racial score, or at the very least like I mentioned before the top 10 or so highest racial scores, then that would please more players and eliminate a lot of these gripes.I have the opposite gripe, I feel certain RACIAL perks(like mane from horse pill or crystal ridgeback from behemoth for example) don't give you enough racial points for what they are, and in some cases looks at alpha scent don't give you racial score AT ALL.
Racial perks should BARE MINIMUM give you 3 points in a corresponding racial score, because those are supposed to represent the defining trait/characteristic of whatever race you're trying to turn into.
To be fair, its hard to account for all the TFs in Trials because there are so many. I agree its nice when an author makes the effort to include some of them, but you can hardly expect them to account for every one. I wouldn't say they don't care, its more that it creates a lot more work when even just getting basic stuff into the game is hard and time consuming, let alone extra stuff. Often its more a matter of forgetting or wilfully choosing not to include it to make things easier rather than indifference.
And they will do this from their fusion powered flying car that transforms into a robot.Thats another major flaw of the game imo, its wider then the ocean and half as deep as the average puddle. 90% of the transformations are purely cosmetic and only alter your character sheet.
In Tits 2, in addition to everything else they learned, I hope they:
1) Limit the number of transformatives to only what they can keep narratively and mechanically meaningful.
2) refine the work flow so we arent here for a decade again, lol.
3) Actually finish the overwhelming majority of a planet before they start working on the next one, and keep the writiers on those projects dedicated to them so we dont end up with this collection of loose threads that will neither be tied up or cut out. (See: Williams everything.)
And they will do this from their fusion powered flying car that transforms into a robot.
im not sure if making optionally volunteered content required is a very good strategyI dont know what to say man, if they can't meaningfully support the content or make some level of guarantee that it will be finished in a timely manner then it really shouldn't be in the game. It's just wasted storage space at that point.
there are basically two sides to this coin. this is suggesting to limit customization so the customization that does exist actually matters.1) Limit the number of transformatives to only what they can keep narratively and mechanically meaningful.
why do you think coc2 dropped player taur/naga support? The only issue, imo, is taur support. They're in the game, but remarkably limited in who and what they can do.
Didn't know. Don't play CoC2.why do you think coc2 dropped player taur/naga support?
Well, how do you think you're gonna pull that off?How to make transformation a truly interesting and erotic experience is one of the central dilemmas of CoC/TiTS, and it's one I've gone back and forth on a lot over the years. In TiTS, Fen arrived at one extreme at how you can provide the experience to your players: You give them a huge amount of personal customisation, all relatively easy to access, each with their own fun description of what takes place - but that's it. Beyond a few bespoke experiences like The Treatment, what you are and what you've become has almost no bearing on your interaction with the rest of the game. Although I haven't spent much time with CoC2 I believe broadly the same is true there, because sadly TFing is something that has never interested Savin. It is unavoidably disappointing, and leaves the player feeling that their choices don't matter, which is the one illusion you never want to disspell in an RPG.
The problem of course is that making transformational content meaningful is very challenging, and necessarily means you will lose out in other areas. Most TF erotic games are very focused (usually on feminisation) because of this. Something on the scale of TiTS is not really feasible.
Something I would bring up here though, as uncomfortable as it may be to do so, is that a lot of TiTS' content is pretty worthless. One off sex scenes you can have with vendors or half-assed OCs that don't develop into a meaningful relationship. One off sex scenes with hostiles that have no impact or development. In TiTS it often seems as if you can have sex with anyone, and it feels empty because most of it doesn't matter - mirroring the TF experience, not coincidentally.
To be clear I like mindless and impulsive sex. I love writing orgy scenes! But done well such content is used to convey something about the location and people it takes place in and with, as well as gratifying the reader. Players want sex that feels part of a grander narrative, that feels earned and risky. When it comes time to create TiTS' heir, I truly hope the fact that transformation has to feel meaningful to be worthwhile is part of its core values.
I really think they should be added back into the game proper, no cheats or whatever. Cuz let's keep it real, there's been way weirder stuff added since they got removed. I mean ffs butt bugs alone are pretty weird, and that's the same fucking planet! Also why, strangely, I love the classic lapinara scenes. She's extremely grateful to you for taking her eggs, and very caring, making sure you're in a safe area after you pass out and leaving all your equipment neatly by.
It wasn't due to the weird factor, it was due to the scene quality not meeting standards.there's been way weirder stuff added since they got removed
Lapinara ARE still in the game, just not the parasitic kind.I really think they should be added back into the game proper, no cheats or whatever. This right here. IMHO the reason COC1 and TITs work is because the gameplay-elements(battle mostly) take a back seat to the porn/sex scene elements, COC2 tried to do the reverse and it just feels...jarring, to say the least.A bit of an issue I, and likely some others, have with CoC2 is that it plays too much like a game.
Let's keep if real, CoC1 and TiTS are pretty much just funnels for porn with the veneer of a game draped over them. And that's fine imo, that means when I wanna get the ball rolling there's not a lot of bullshit between me and what I want.
But when I tried out CoC2, I couldn't help but feel... kinda overwhelmed? For lack of better words. And maybe it was just my smooth monki brain being like "ooga booga me want boobies now!"
So running it back a bit, if in TiTS2, I need to go through a whole quest chain just to get my dong wet or to to get a tf, that may be a bit offputting.
Sorry if I'm just being an incomprehensible moron here or whatever, btw, I'm not good at explaining this stuff.

Oh, right. Well, is it out if the picture for them to get a cleanup pass to bring them up to spec? Or are they just so far gone they're a lost cause? It wasn't due to the weird factor, it was due to the scene quality not meeting standards.
Omg, dude, a TiTS sequel where you like, build your own space station or fleet and expand operations and stuff like a NSFW Star Sector would be literal crack for me and so many others. It's why establishing some kind of home base early on, which the PC can furnish with slaves and waifus, is essential. Then pretty quickly you have a scenario where if the player's just feeling horny they can jump in, quickly get some scenes they want, and jump off again. You have a fast food joint and then something actually nourishing going on outside
Well, how do you think you're gonna pull that off?
Because while I don't doubt your capabilities, and I don't want to bring you down, what you're hoping for sounds like some Mass Effect level shit here.
And also, there's the issue that it may not be what the players want.

Still though, maybe a "super easy mode" or something that just completely trivializes or even totally skips combat altogether would be a good idea to give appeal to horny idiots like me who just wanna zoom through to the jiggly bits. Then we can reload a save and play the game proper. Just throwing that on the table while I'm here, hope ya don't mind.
I really doubt a staffer would spend the time on it, but if a community member wanted to rewrite them (or just submit a fresh Lappy encounter) I'm sure it'd be welcome. I genuinely really love their design and was sad to see them go.Well, is it out if the picture for them to get a cleanup pass to bring them up to spec?
We do have that. Story Mode makes it almost impossible to lose.Still though, maybe a "super easy mode" or something that just completely trivializes or even totally skips combat altogether would be a good idea
That's my experience too but also, y'know, one-handed porn game XDcoc2 is genuinely very easy. I've complained in the gripes thread before that I found the max difficulty too easy for 95% of the game
