Like the title says: when the PC is below their max health and damages an enemy's health using a the Hirudo Devourer or NaN Deconstructor, the PC does not recover any health. I have yet to test whether there is an equivalent issue for weapons with the Draining or Greater Draining flag and their effects on shields.
