Ways to make money?

In my current run, I'm a female Leithan and wondering how to get money without cheesing it by betting at Uveto race track. Breedwell is out too because I'm tauric. The only merchant to sell precious crystal I've gotten is Anno, but only after you recruited her as a crew member. Even Colenso at Tarkus take the Crystal for 1/4 of the price. I'm not so keen on repeating the Sydian Matriach to get the shrooms.

Thanks. Just reached Zheng Shi and having problem dealing with the mining robot as a Kineticist, became laughably easier once I hit level 8.

Just avoid the squares around a certain area where the Sydian Queen appears. The shrooms are AWESOME for credits.

I get most of my early money extorting space pirates. I don't remember that being on the wikki, though.
One of them might be bugged, and gives infinite money, but that shouldn't be needed.

i dont personally do much ship combat, and i wrote most of that section myself so that's why it wouldn't be there. do you have any numbers i would be able to include if i put that in that section?

~1500 from the Corona Lord (Casstech Z7), also sends Personality toward Hard.
5K from the Gabilani Pirate, doesn't change Personality?
~5K from Cyber Punks, can also get an Entropy Gremlin (5K, but can instantly solve puzzles)
~2K from Jumper (has a cooldown)
~4K from Star Viper (Refuse>Extort). This one is bugged to refresh the Extort button every time you hit Refuse, so you can continue to get money. Moves Personality toward Hard each time.
