So I'm having trouble updating the mobile version from .15 to .18 can someone help me?

Go here, back for at least $5, create an account at Fenoxo.com, link your Fenoxo and Patreon accounts, and then go to the "Backer Builds" on Fenoxo.com and download away.

Do I need a patreon account to download after paying the $5, or do I need both?

You need both since linking the two is how this site 'knows' that you're a backer (and of which projects) and will give you access to the Backer Builds page. And your Fenoxo account for download purposes is a separate account from your forum account, though you can use all the same details for both.

You need a Patreon account to pay the $5.
